Agreed, the general pacing of DD's second season was pretty good IMHO, the mini-arcs definitely helped with that. And yeah, I get that "how much plot did Jessica Jones actually have with which to reasonably fill episodes" is a bit subjective, that's totally fair enough. Six episode is certainly on the low end of the

Caroline did great work with the captions, I absolutely loved those.

That is genuinely the most reasonable explanation I've heard for this.

He had a plot-mandated temporary loss of his powers.

It just seems so unpragmatic though. The Hand have been shown to use venom in their weapons, so all it might potentially take to kill her is a scratch on that needlessly unprotected part of her body.

I'm no expert on fight scenes, but hell, even I got bored by the ninja fights. Which is not something I ever expected to say about ninja fights (I mean, come on, it sounds awesome on paper, right?!).

I don't think I'd have had a problem with splitting the season between the Punisher and the Hand, if only the Hand bits had actually been compelling instead of, as you say, lame.

Some of us understand the concept of "fun". You obviously don't.

I don't hate the show. But given how awesome Fisk is, how much I liked the Punisher arc this season I just felt very disappointed (i.e. bored) by the ninja stuff because I had expected that to be better.

I loved the Punisher arc, but as soon as that was over and the ninja stuff started I got rather bored.

Honestly, I'm generally not a fan of magic in stories, but I don't think that was truly the problem here. The primary issue with the Hand I see are (off the top of my head):

Stick killed him. And yeah, that kid was a Black Sky as well.

which just makes me think about how much better Jessica Jones was than this season of Daredevil.

"Yo, dude, check this out!"
"Yo, woman, check this out!"

Does it even have one? "Lady" sounds way more respectful than "dude". Which, I presume, is your point, but what if I wish to address a person of the female persuasion of whom I do not hold a high enough opinion to call her "lady"? I wouldn't use "girl", that much I can say, because it kinda feels icky to call a woman

if they would have seen one of their celebrities.

I think what you say makes good sense, and yet I still want Olly to die. Weird how we tick.

I have no problem with the show people lying about this kind of thing. I do think journalists and other people who keep asking these stupid questions and are basically putting the show folks in the position to either spoil the show or lie to their faces are kinda dumb though. What did they expect Kit to do? Go all

Boobies, bloodshed, occasionally dragons… what's not to like?

I think in this case things went quite okay. I sorta had the feeling that there was an unspoken deal between the show folks and the rest of us along the lines of "Okay, we're obligated to tell you he's dead, and he's actually kinda dead, but we all know where this is going, so let's just pick this up again once we
