Spay and neuter?

I think I'd like that. Sowing more seeds of distrust in gardens of assholes and all that.

One thing which popped into my mind… while Earl surely isn't A-grade henchman material, placing him with Ava could serve two purposes I can think of off the top of my head:

Yup, I reached pretty much the same conclusion, I didn't really get the impression that any real hanky-panky had happened between Raylan and Ava beyond the kiss.

The funny thing (to me) is that while the show let the viewers figure that one out by themselves, it's often really bad about doing expositional dialogue. Especially Reese and Finch on their comms are at times almost painful to listen to IMHO.

Yeah, it took me a while to let my memory find that connection too. I do like these details though.

I loved that show when I was a kid. Fact, still do, even going towards 30. :D

I feel old…

Indeed, good catch.

Oh god, I think I may just have gotten a bit of a spy stiffy (a spyffy?) at the thought of Jere Burns on the Americans… all the possibilities!

The thing with human opponents is that you can usually still somehow see a way out, even if it requires a "Raylan and Rachel ex machina" (as when Boyd was about to be dismembered by those Mexican thugs who killed poor Jimmy last season). You can still plot and machinate and intrigue and stuff, even if you're the

Indeed, it does have a certain Wynn-ness to it. I don't really care if he's the snitch or not, I just want him and Mikey to make it out alive at the end and ride off into the sunset in their RV (hey, a guy can dream).

Hm, now that would be a storyline I want to see :D

That reminds me of that analogy about arguing with people who don't stick to the logic of proper arguing: It's like playing chess with a pigeon. Even if you're a grandmaster and hilariously skilled at the game (i.e. debating), the pigeon will just hop on the board, throw over all the pieces, crap on the playing field

Especially once he took that bullet and wasn't seen again for quite a while. But once he showed up again I really was rather delighted, he is such a fun character to have around. Kinda hoping he and Mikey make it out alive and well.

Yeah, everybody knows you keep that shit to yourself until the proper moment to reveal it. Also, don't keep kneeling besides the freaking shaft, tststs…

I recently rewatched season 1, and I wonder if he ever got to do that "I'm gonna get a blow torch and a machete and make your body as small as humanly possible" thing…

We got gunshots poppin' though. Been a while since we had a shootout as far as I remember.

Plus, criminals are often not exactly the brightest of bulbs (both on the show and in real life)…

I think it fits in pretty well with the Elmore Leonard style of story. Criminals often meet a rather undignified and unspectacular end, and their deaths often don't really serve any higher purpose but are pretty futile (he could after all have just surrendered instead of partaking in the shootout, for example).
