He’s gaslighting audiences to think homophobia isn’t homophobia. I’ve seen a lot of comments on here trivializing it, but it’s right there in the pot with every other strain of bigotry and it still matters, damn it.

I mean isn’t it both at this point? There are women and men (Fujoshi and Fudanshi) who actually like Boys Love out there in Japan so it really is its own subculture at this point.

Is it really that hard to find somebody who actually likes the series to review it? Neither AV Club or IO9 (back when they actually did reviews and weren’t a pale, sad imitation of what they used to be) can seem to manage it.
