Wheeler Dealers is easily the best shows on Velocity for a few reasons: 1.) The cars are unique- it’s not 100% American muscle cars like every other car show since the dawn of time. Granted, some are not sold in the US, but that is what makes the show different from all the others. 2.) The repairs are often minor.

30% less Moog and 30% more Turbo Yoda/Tuning Fork/anyone that actually knows what the fuck they are doing and I agree.

Make it about the cars. Don’t make it about the people, or fake drama, unless that’s an honest byproduct of the cars. While I adored Top Gear, the manufactured aspect of the show did occasionally get in the way. Large parts of the show are saved by the amazing chemistry the three hosts had. One of my absolute favorite

You need a blend of cars that are both attainable and unattainable, and have them viewed/reviewed in the same way by people that are interested in them, no matter their cost. A host that is able to describe their passion to non-car people without annoying actual car people is also a must. Also, don’t force passion or

No stupid deadlines to meet. Enough with the hotrods already. Build something other than American resto-mods. Pretty much just give Marty and Moog a TV show. I would also gladly watch any Petrolicious program for any extended period of time, but I don’t think that qualifies as ‘reality tv'.

Vacuum brake bleeder.

Not using these tools for a long job. If it’s more parts than you can fit in your hand, bag it and tag it. You’ll be glad you did.

Hands down it’s underestimating the time it will take you to complete a job. My rule of thumb is to think of everything that could go wrong, factor that time in, and then double it. Whether it’s a part that you didn’t realize you would need, a tool you don’t quite have, or a nut you’ll strip...you will be under the

Improper torque. Either too loose or too tight - everything from a sump drain plug that leaks because it’s just screwed on and not tightened to bolt heads snapped off.

While I like the #1 pick, I dunno if I’d trust a $10k S2000.

I had the same experience at Hallet in OK in my basically stock Miata. It was my first track day, and my car had half the horsepower of the next lowest powered car in the session, so I lined up at the back, trying not to hold everyone up.

Refusing to let another driver past simply because your car has more power than his/hers.

“There’s some promise with the release of the new Chevrolet Colorado…”

I drove the piss out of it. So, yes, it saw redline at every available opportunity. But you make good points and it’s hard to argue with the reliability and economics of the BR-Z / FR-S, especially when rebuilding a S14 costs $10K +. The days of people ripping out S14s, selling them for pennies on the dollar and

Sounds like a BRZ to me.

everything needed could be handled by a reasonably competent driveway mechanic who’s willing to read the included manual.

You’re kidding right? Is he not still the only person to ever beat Hamilton as a teammate(over the course of a season)? What about his brilliant 2011 season where he was arguably the best and most consistent driver, and the only one to really pose a threat to Vettel that year, despite a vastly inferior car? Or THAT

He scored points last race. This was the first time since 2012 that he had scored points in consecutive races. For only the second time in his career. He still sucks. But not as much as Honda, they deserve to be under the spotlight this week. They had two full years of unregulated devlopment time before they came to

Bah...Kinja won’t let me edit my big post for some reason. The link with the list of models is actually the second link I pasted in there at the car connection.
