Yeah but Toyota hosed us pretty good. In place of the Camry Wagon we got the... Matrix? The Venza? Neither one makes me miss that old car any less.

I’d like it even FWD to be honest. 200hp/200ft/lbs of torque, 6sp, 30-35 mpg, and BAM - Honda would have the car people have been begging it to build again since 1995.
you’re missing the point. They listened to enthusiasts, and the resulting car isn’t selling well (to the point they’ve publicly called its sales figures disappointing,) which means when it comes time to refresh or re-design the car, they’ll likely say “Eh, not worth it.”
Are you kidding? It’s a poster child for what happens when automakers DO listen to enthusiasts. Cheap, fun, RWD and easy to modify.
the FR-S/BRZ is a poster child for why automakers don’t listen to enthusiasts.
Sales aren’t lagging because it doesn’t have enough power. Sales are lagging because anybody who wants one and can afford one already has one. It’s a two-seat sports car. How much demand do you imagine there could be for something so impractical at that price point?
Yeah I didn’t fact check before posting, but that just further supports my claims
I would feel better if this was an April fools prank.
You have apparently never driven a Miata with and a Miata without LSD. Let me tell you, LSD changes EV3RYTH1NG.
If you’re a hair dresser and you just drive it to work every day then I agree it’s not compelling. If you want to take it to the track or autocross it, the LSD alone is compelling. A Miata without LSD isn’t a performance car. It’s a toy.
Is there going to be a “Poverty Edition”?
MT, steelies, white, unpainted bumpers, cloth seats, no radio, but adds LSD.
Sounds like you’ve never driven a RWD car with an LSD.
Except LSD, Billies, and strut tower brace.
AWD would be the wrong move for the chassis, kinda misses the whole point of the car, not to mention the current engine packaging would make AWD just about impossible without moving most of the weight forward of the front axle.
Yes, which brings me to another point. Too big.
No kidding, looking through some of these the F1 passes stick out as not terribly impressive from an objective standpoint, I really hope this makes the cut ahead of some of the Schumacher and after era passes
Piquet on Senna, Hungary 1986. No going out of bounds, no DRS or other fancy schmancy electronics. Brake late, go sideways, a dab of oppo, correct, make the pass stick.
If you can find it how about Kobayashi on the outside of the Suzuka hairpin a couple years back. That is boss.
Amazing finish and so good the video almost missed it. Every final lap should be this epic.
