Blame this on having to register on a fucking website for any of your stats to actually count. I can imagine most people had no idea they had to register. Im fairly sure if they would have just counted everyones pokemon, regardless of registration on the pokemon website, the number would have been much closer.

But that might not be how it works. At least in Hearthstone, the pity timer gradually increases the chance of a legendary each time you don’t get one, from very small to 100% at 40 packs. It’s not ~2% for 39 then suddenly a huge jump.

Ya Overwatch’s lootboxes are pretty generous in the drop rates. My longest streak without getting a legendary skin is around 10 or so boxes. I have spent around a $120-140 dollars on lootboxes, which is more then I should have spent but whatever, and between those boxes, the ones for leveling up, and gold collected…

That’s gonna be interesting considering Overwatch in particular has a built in pity timer if you don’t get a legendary after a set number of boxes.
