The huge difference is that WoW still has a substantial monthly fee to keep “live team” running. Destiny added microtransactions, but no way are they taking in $13 per player per month the way WoW does.

Forgot to mention the part where if you use this for online multiplayer it transforms you into the biggest cheating douche the world has ever seen and even corrective surgery will not restore you to being less of a douche than before.

I wish developers who create things with strong implicit biases, could just admit they did so with bias involved. As humans, certain experiences make it very easy to create things that cater specifically narrow standards, right?

I wouldn’t say that WWII is treated like it was fun, but the culture surrounding the Second World War is much different than the First. WWI was a disasterous dominoe effect and was much greater in scale and destructiveness than anything that had come before it. It was impersonal, nationalistic, mechanical, and…

WW2 was terrible. But it was a war that was fought mostly akin to modern and historical practices. People fought and died. Aside from the reasons, it pretty much played out like any other major war (excluding WW1) throughout history.
