If you’re willing to drop a 6-spot on this garbage, you’re willing to toss $500 my way to hose off the mats for ya. HMU fam.
Cut it out.
This inspired me to look up the history of this fable and the first recorded instance of it is apparently... a 1955 film by noted white man Orson Welles’ called “Confidential Report”.
I had a suspicion that Mad Max would show up on PS+ eventually, and it’s one of those ones I’m happy is showing up because I’ve always wanted to play it.
Pretty cool how this whole drama about Ninja is based on a lyric by Logic using “bitch” twice in five lines, huh ladies? Pretty pretty pretty cool.
As I’ve said with other responses, there are numerous reports that it is not relevant whether you use the Nintendo charging cable with the Nyko dock.
Yeah, I don’t want to come across as ignorant or racist but holy shit the body image issues in South Korea are absurd. Plastic surgery is incredibly common there now. They seem to place a ridiculous amount of value on physical appearance, even for people in positions that have nothing to do with physical appearance.
Yeah, they’ve effectively been this price (or lower) in various sales for months now. Given this is the new retail price, sale prices should be even lower going forward.
Pretty sure I’ve seen claims to this effect. Regardless, I really strongly advise you to stop using that Nyko dock. Why risk it?
I got the official high capacity battery after a long time and it served me well, lesson learned on Nyko electronics here.
That seems to be the case, but it’s all the more reason you should be very hesitant to use third party docks with it.
Yeah, I received the Nyko dock at its launch and had already put my Switch in it by the time reports of it frying systems were out there on Reddit. I and many others assumed it was a subset of Nyko docks that were doing it and that we got lucky. After using it probably 30+ times, it finally fried my Switch. Hence, the…
To be clear, the bricking issue and the USB-C frying are two separate issues. The Nyko dock is doing BOTH of these things to people and shouldn’t even be on shelves anymore.
Yup, and as I said in another comment, the bricking issue is happening with other third party docks as well. This USB-C frying issue has been reported since the Nyko dock was released and a lot of us were living under the impression that if we didn’t immediately get our system with it, we were fine. My dock proved…
Thankfully I was still covered by warranty and I’ve gotten rid of the Nyko dock. Hopefully I keep my saves. Nintendo not having any way to upload saves to cloud or a USB device or SD card is nuts.
I was still covered by Nintendo’s warranty, so I went that route. But I’m putting this warning out there because it seems getting Nyko to fix or replace your system is hit-or-miss based on what people have said on Reddit and such. I strongly advise against using the Nyko Dock—you’ll avoid having to worry about this…
We’ll see. My Switch is getting repaired by Nintendo. My saves are probably safe, but there’s always a chance they’ll be lost. Apparently it depends on if they can power the unit, so I think it’s still iffy.
As I stated, this problem has been happening to people using the Nyko dock for months, since the Nyko dock released. It’s an additional problem on top of the bricking issue, and it’s affecting a lot of people.
The problem I just had has been happening to people with the Nyko dock since it released last year. Since well before the 5.0 patch. Look up the Amazon reviews and it’s in review after review of this item.
