Guys, you absolutely must check out her Mark Twain award acceptance speech on Youtube. Its about 10 mins long, hilarious of course and warm and lovely. It’s perfect, just like JDL.

I love that story about her putting an end to a bunch of men teasing her. I think a lot of women think that they have to take the joking around dudes do, especially if they are the only woman in a group of men. But it is important to know that there is a line, and we are not kill-joy’s for saying “that’s enough”.

Oh and by the way- you should check out the actual origins of Festivus. It’s amazing.

Oh yeah. And dude! Festivus is coming up!! I am SO READY to air grievances with people!

I don’t think a day goes by in my life where I am not in some situation where I can quote the show. It’s outstanding to this day.

And Black Panther will hopefully get nominated for Best Picture, so it could be a Marvel Cinematic Universe night. I would think ABC would love the ratings. “The Avengers save the Oscars” is a good headline, too.

I don’t care that it would be shameless marketing, I’d totally tune in for the sheer gimmickey-ness of it all.

I say get these charming folks to host. I hear they have an upcoming movie coming out, so why not help it get a little publicity?  ABC/Disney synergy!

We began watching stories centered on women, ideally at least partially written by women (source material or screenplay). In Mr. Smuttins words, “Wow. These movies/shows are so much better. Deeper, more complex, more interesting...just really better in every way.”

This movie was THE TITS. I led the applause at that scene. You know the one, if you’ve seen it. If you haven’t, you’ll know when you see it.

When Lyle realizes Tilly isn’t going to make the anniversary dinner, Chains by Nick Jonas plays in the restaurant- nice callback to an earlier episode when Lyle calls it “crap” while driving and turns it off but Tilly turns it back on and you can see the start of her daydreaming nonsense. Nice bookend.
