Attitude doesn't really matter if you're swapping out The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and The Descendants for As I Lay Dying and Autumn to Ashes, guys.

Gonna have to disagree with you on that one, William; Earthbound is most certainly the best game of 1995. Much like Paul's Boutique or Salsa I literally have never tired of it.

Who the fuck thought making this autoplay was a good idea

Wallace and Tengo… I have to try that at some point

He's made of sterner stuff than I thought if he hasn't said this earlier.

There is filler on here, which is not the case with the other YLT classics, but even so I can't bring myself to put anything above it. And Then Nothing… does not get nearly enough love though.

…But why not just watch Alien and spare yourself?

Fuck and Shit.

Oh god I remember that; their scientific advisor was a CVS erotica novelist, if memory serves.

Oh man, both Mario and Hotline give me the bumps when I play fast and loose and make it out scratch free. I guess a less hopped up platformer would seem, well, less hopped in comparison. Which one should I start with?

This, Tom Courtenay and Pablo and Andrea more or less cement this as my MVP for Yo La Tengo; this song in particular puts such a high peak at the very end of the record that I always want more, then get angry when it doesn't come.

You know what? Sure, Bradley Cooper. You do what you want at this point. No one's going to stop you.

You are right, those games are a lot slower; I guess it just wasn't my bag. Plus the visuals always seemed good but bland. I'll have to give it another shot tonight.

Fuck and Shit, guys. We're next.

It's weird, I have never understood the hype behind those games. They always seemed fairly pedestrian, especially considering the inspired zaniness of Mario and the x-tremeness of sonic.

It's actually because of stuff like that I am so happy Nintendo continues to reissue their back catalogue as much as they do; Super Mario Advance 2 (world) was one of the best deals I can think of.

Never forget the bad games that somehow worked; I still have a massive soft spot for Hot Wheels Turbo Racing for the N64. Not perfect, kind of slight, but It offered an easy way to make my cars do backflips before exploding.

Dark forces was the bright spot at the chaotic and dingy day care I attended in the 90's; that game is still fun, still slick today, somehow.
Glad I committed to Nintendo from the beginning though, for sure.
