Contact lenses are a medical device and thus should be fit by an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist who can properly evaluate the fit of the lenses as well as the health of the eyes related to contact lens wear.

And as for the money argument, it’s a very simple one to make. I’m sure you’d make the same argument to a cardiologist trying to get patients to follow up on their blood thinner prescription.

If you don’t care about your eye health at all, feel free to use this app. Only a licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist is able to dispense contact lens prescriptions, and the extent to which this app evaluates your eye health is “Is it red?”.
