The trailer seems really “topical”. Pandemic, crypto, meta jokes about streaming platforms. I don’t remember original Futurama being very topical, but the reboot did it more like with the iPhones.

I do think there has been a bit of wishcasting in social media that Secret Invasion would do that for Maria Hill, but not based on any real information.

Hot take: Does she really deserve more? I don’t mean in a mean way, but Maria Hill was a Z-level character, right above the guy playing Galaga. Netflix is not synonymous with a single channel. No one channel ever made rom-coms, action movies, star vehicles, Halloween horror series, reality shows, prestige drama series, and syndicated a variety of past works from everywhere (TBS, USA, CBS, Comedy Central, FX, NBC, etc)

How sure are we that that’s even the reason? What was the last DCEU movie to make real money? BvS? The ones from the post-pandemic era have been busts. Gunn’s suicide squad made like 200M, Birds of Prey around the same. Black Adam cracked 300M. Shazam made 133 M worldwide, HUGE bust.
