Comparing Sam Smith to Luther Vandross is absolutely insane. Sam Smith isn’t even that good of a singer. I hate the fact that he’s what passes for R&B now. His maudlin, whiny tunes are strictly adult contemporary.

I am still very much enjoying this show but I also have a problem with the show called Runaways having zero runaways. I thought maybe this would be the ep that at least Alex and Nico leave, but I guess not.

Well, this might be the final straw.

Much like the high ratings for CBS shows, I will put that down to autoplay and people falling asleep while heavily medicated. I want to believe my fellow humans are better than this.

His characters are generally smug assholes, even his blue-collar kid on That 70's Show. And he has the face that is perfect for it, so...

I was wondering how far Netflix was willing to go for Danny Fucking Masterson.

Guuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl, that is GOOD tea!

“his longtime publicist has also dropped him as a client”

I know there was something about him hitting on a teenager via text and not on she was a teenager but who knows if he actually did or did not know.

Don’t make the perfect the enemy of the good. If their hands are tied, then Masterson is experiencing as much of a penalty as Netflix can impose. There just needs to be a clause added to future production contracts where the person is fully cast into Outer Darkness if something like this comes up.

Wasn’t there something about him being creepy towards an underage girl in the UK a few years ago? I could see it.

Right? Tick tock, tick tock...

Good. I have no illusions about why Netflix made the decision... they didn’t suddenly start believing Masterson’s victims... they just thought they could quietly tiptoe around the fewer (compared to others) allegations around Masterson, and hopefully it would go away and they could keep him and avoid a PR nightmare.

This. I hate to agree, but this is probably accurate. It was less about believing male victims over female victims (although still a problem) and more about liability on the set versus bad press.

I am also expecting a Bryan Singer expose any day now. Fired from Bohemian Rhapsody and now it turns out his longtime publicist has also dropped him as a client? His head is going to roll soon.

They dragged their feet too long. But Spacey’s accusations included on-set stuff where Netflix could be liable as an employer for not acting on numerous complaints of workplace harassment (and probably already will be.) Nobody could sue them for actions Masterson committed off-set.

But Masterson is still a producer on the show right? So he’ll still be involved/making money? It’s already happening. Slowly but surely the repercussions of accusing someone of a sex crime are less and less as people stop caring or have decided it’s “too much” or, even worse, the inevitable backlash from men AND women

I get why you’d want to make some changes to Alex from the comics, but it seems weird that like everyone else has powers and he’s just like a sort of normal kid who is like ok at hacking I guess? Like he’s not really the leader in this (SINCE NO ONE IS DOING ANYTHING), so he seems weirdly out of place.
