New textures, new models, new functionality, new worlds, new game play mechanics.... ‘tweaking some things’.

Whoa, it’s almost like people deserve to be paid for their work if they want or something. Wacky!

He’s not wrong.

I wish they’d stop teasing “oh, the Doctor is dead!”. No he isn’t. This is the fourth episode of the season. Of course he isn’t fucking dead. Of course he’s going to be fine. Trotting that out really steals away the suspense in episodes like these.

On a side note I also see being an issue in dual language games. I understand the argument that the voice actors have that they bring life to the roles and add a lot to a game (Last of Us is one that comes to mind immediatly). But at the same time it is also difficult to quantify the sales it brings to a title -

They should have better working conditions and contracs should be upheld in their favor when conditions change but they don’t necessarily deserve better compensation. If you don’t want a lower paying job with less royalties or no royalties, don’t take it.

It will only hurt developers. I promise you.

I actually felt the exact opposite. I recognize that the first 2 episodes had a few flaws, but by and large I found them emotionally compelling and relatively entertaining.

I agree this was definitely one of the strongest episodes in a while (definitely better than anything last season, and the best start to a multipart episode since The Rebel Flesh). On the other hand, I’d be careful about suggesting that means Whithouse should be a show runner. Moffat has already given us a top notch

This is crazy. All the things they could make a spin off series on and they decide to do this???

When I heard the rumours of a planned Doctor Who spin off I got excited as I thought it could be an 8th Doctor spin off series starring Paul McGann. After the strong reception of Night of the Doctor and his Big Finish work. The 8th Doctor is long overdue a mini series.

What about the fellow who confessed to her "murder" and then later recanted. Did he spend time in jail? Was his life ruined? Did she know about it and did she let an innocent (well of this "crime" anyway) man suffer for her own purposes? BTW, what does that tell you about confessions extracted by police. People

Yes, this episode was awful. Part One in The Magician’s Apprentice was better. This was classic Moffat letting everyone down in part 2. Crap. So many bad things happened.

A Dalek has said “mercy” before. In “The Big Bang,” the series 5 finale: a Dalek begged River Song not to kill it, to show it mercy.

Moffat is incapable of a Doctor Who story that doesn’t involve meeting some character as a child and giving them some fucking thing that they hold on to for years.

This episode was better than last week’s, which isn’t saying much. Missy is growing on me. Shoving Clara down that hole, cocking her head and deadpanning “twenty feet” was deeply, deeply funny. Clara was useless, as usual. Davros actually became kind of... sad? Until he tricked the Doctor, of course. And the half

In my opinion overall that has got to be one of the worst episodes I have honestly ever seen. Some good Missy moments are not enough to eliminate the god-awful and lazy writing, the utter crap characters in general, and once again endless filler.

That was my initial response...”Meanwhile code-monkeys don’t get shit.”

Ummm.....no, but OK.
