It appears that the state's outsourcing their auctions. Try here, if you want to buy old laptops from West Hartford: http://www.publicsurplus.com/sms/all,ct/browse/home

I think you have to be approved. I'd commented on Deadspin post-Kinjacalypse, and a comment I posted today went straight into the pending queue.

Galaxy SS, huh? Let's see how that would've gone over on the Internet...

Exactly. People just need to be patient as the kinks get ironed out, but more often than not, the reaction tends to be foaming-at-the-mouth rage at the sight of change.

That's just because people are stupid and drop their phones. Doesn't matter what kind of phone you have, odds are someone's broken it due to their own idiocy.

Comment sections are why we can't have nice things.

...suh-wing and a miss.

Hit the curve, for one...

Yeah, I saw it on Deadspin. The whole Kinja system seems to be working much better in the full version, at least in my experience.

Yeah, that Slauson cutoff really is no joke.

Yes, that you can multitask. Sorry that doesn't dovetail with your unearned haughtiness.

Or, you could just heed the advice of your own burner name and suck your own fucknuts hard. (Really, people. I'm planning on getting an iPad Mini and, finances permitting, an Android tablet at some point, but you're really giving Android users a bad name.)

Or, a better way to save even more money: AWMoore, and other Android trolls of their ilk, beat themselves senseless with pipe wrenches for crapping all over every single Apple-related post. Seriously, there's inordinately more dick-waving from Android fanboys than Apple fanboys. As a great man once said before he was

It seems like the problem was caused by dropping the star system. Before, unapproved accounts had to get physically cleared by a user, and that meant all of these spam comments would sit there in the pink, unnoticed by most. It's a better way to stop spam in the first place, but it isn't compatible with what Gawker's

Sorry, I'm not allowed to use dictionaries ever since "Webster's Dictionary defines..." was determined to be the hackiest way to start any written material.

Uh, part of this hack involved replacing the problematic cartridge slot with one from a Game Genie. No spring-loaded slot, no problems.

Nah, but this is my reaction every time I read the comments on any post about Apple or Android.

Fine. I'll take that Apple device, and you can have an outdated PC. Put your quarter up. :)

Mine was made in (I think) August of 2010, so it's not quite THAT old. While it has the pads, it still needs the slot, but it sounds like it would need more than that as well. I just figured I could maximize this netbook, since it's still pretty good and very much usable.

...I sit corrected.
