1) my local high school is providing students with Chromebooks. Not charging them for Chromebooks. Providing them. I don't know what that has to do with your argument about students affording them. And, really, shouldn't a gadget blog want kids to have shiny gadgets?

Engadget was (is) reporting, "... giving authors the ability to set their own prices as long as they remain $14.99 or under." That translates pretty clearly into $15 being the highest price. So either Engadget or Gizmodo is wrong. I'm going to go watch the keynote now to see which it is.

So, if I'm reading this correctly: A gadget blog is making the argument that a $500 iPad is too expensive and, with a $15 cap on books, no one will step in to provide books (arguing space on the device is pointless, you can download just what you need when you need it - or didn't you think about that?). They're not fast enough. ESPN uses Zipline cameras for X Games and I know at least one producer that is building a zipline rig to film rally cars (he also has a DSLR drone)
