Still from the same topic, though. Anyone who’s been on the internet long enough have seen similar jokes, though it’s been more frequent in recent years since 2016.

Which if that's the level the rest of the year is going to be at, god help us. Its mostly not funny and not remotely accurate.
if you’re sorting your memes chronologically and not by subject matter then i don’t even know you anymore. Nobody watches the fucking Golden Globes anyway.
If you think this is the first meme of the year then you’re not looking in the right places. Nobody watches the fucking Golden Globes anyway.
Everything he’s ever accused anyone else of doing is something he’s done himself, or wanted to do himself. And I don’t mean that as hyperbole - I mean people investigating Trump should be going back through his twitter feed, speeches and interviews gathering pointers.
Man, remember those lovely lovely days when all we really had to worry about were the latest wretched moves by the Tea Partiers and what the birthers would say about Obama next?
That is absolutely what is happening. I know nobody who owns an SUV my age or younger who doesn’t absolutely loathe it.
There was a study back in the late ‘90s that basically determined SUVs were for insecure assholes who didn’t want to admit they were conventional boring suburbanites. That this seems to be a bottomless market in America, when new-car buying is dominated by people 55 and up... well, draw your own conclusions.
Is it because you think a lot of the market segment looks similar?
Not really. As is often repeated, the CUV/SUV market has become fairly efficient, and I suspect gas prices would have to go up enough to move the needle towards motorcycle more than it would smaller cars.
No solution for the SUV’s. Maybe trying to remove the Minivans stigma of being boring/family haulers/ etc?
One can hope that much like it happened with station wagons and minivans, as Gen Z ages they will come to look upon SUVs as dad and mom cars and reject them outright.
because it wouldn’t have been represented of a cheap midsize sedan, from the same manufacturer 50 years apart.
And what cars was oldsmobile selling in 2009?
No, they’re made out of papier-mâché. They weigh about three pounds and if you get hit by a bus, it’s over
Yup. Just like football helmets prevent concussions. LOL
Funny thing is, they’re both pretty much the same weight. A quick google suggests the Bel Air is 3510 lbs while the Malibu is 3415-3649. I think a lot of people get their impression of the “weight” of an old car because the body panels are so stout. Modern cars shifted a lot of that weight into the chassis.
Even with something stronger, best case is that the car survives and stays in the same shape, passing all of that force on to the humans who die of basilar skull fractures.
