I can't be the only one who thinks the puzzles are fun, as well, am I? Don't get me wrong, the game's hilarious. I had to stop more than once to recover from the lolz.

Honestly, I would reasonably expect to be informed in hours, not days.

STO had pretty space scenery (and somewhat interesting starship combat), but anytime you were walking around looked like a Champions mod. After the betas for those two games, I've been pretty much over Cryptic.

A used game sale isn't equivalent to a lost new game sale, either. Both represent some portion of a sale. The used sale likely represents a larger fraction of a new sale lost, imo. Especially if we're talking about the 8%-10% that places like Gamestop take off of used copies of new releases.

The father is obviously terrified of the "adoption" conversation, which makes some sense. It seems that he, and not his child, was the one upset by Wheatly's ham-fisted, guileless, and likely synthesized jibe.

The "No Russian" level seemed like it was trying an interesting tack. Um, spoilers coming?

That 100 is converted from "5 Stars" on gamepro.

The more I keep hearing about the faces, the more I wish they could be rendered on my PC.

Alpha Protocol's clever timed dialog system rewarded the player for 'doing their homework' obtaining and studying the dossiers of their allies and enemies between missions. Unfortunately, it was weighed down by the awful combat.

Farcry 2 and the last few Halo games have map editors. Sure, they're not full fledged mod sdk's but good luck convincing console manufacturers to let you load custom code on your box.

But has he yet learned the joy of pulling the light bridge out from under you?

In other news, over-zealous Screen-Free Weekers get punched in the face for screwing with people's TV's....

"There's also the matter of a disgruntled playerbase, made up of some of Valve's biggest fans, some of whom surely feel almost exploited at having "wasted" either time or money engaged in this game, with now little to nothing to show for it."

I mostly don't like the argument that games having a learning curve is a problem. It's easy to learn how chess pieces move, but can take a lifetime to master (I'm a terrible chess player).

I played Madden 11 franchise mode for like 3 seasons and I still couldn't remember every single control. With all the player stats and constantly changing control schemes, sports games are far more "hardcore" than shooters and rpg's.

Wizrobe: Why would you leave a map of the dungeon just lying around?

I never could finish that damn game as a kid.
