Lived with PA inspections for 30 plus years. Used to be 2 per year. Then they went to one and added a bogus emissions inspection that cost more than the inspection and all that’s done is a sniff and a visual.

WE recently rented for 6 months while we looked for a house, and rather enjoyed it. It was nice not having to fix stuff. If something broke - call maintenance. Owning my own home, I feel compelled to fix stuff myself, because I can, and because I’m cheap.

Most socket ujoints are too floppy. I wrap electrical tape around the joint. Keeps it from flopping around, but still has some flex in it.

Yanked it, rebuilt it, went pretty well. Decided to drop the pan before putting the trans back. Decided to pull a main cap. Found

Why do people shop at CarMax anyway??

Opinionated, crude at times, honest, crude at times, unapologetic, crude at times. Hmmm, sounds like a favorite auto blog......

However, I saw the value of an auto with my wife’s generic Saab 9-3 as it stayed on boost thru the shifts. It’s much harder to keep a manual on boost esp on the street.
