Speeding is up..... And accidents are down....

The wife and went to Yellowstone for our Honeymoon. I was highly impressed with Wyoming’s 80mph highway speeds and those highways were buttery smooth. They could easily handle faster speeds if allowed.

Thank you.

I generally don’t mind someone going fast on a clearly open and untraveled piece of road, but I suspect most of these high speed stops are for people doing the deed in traffic, as the article did mention I-5 here in California which is one of the busiest / most heavily travelled freeways around. Even with a 35%

From Jalopnik? Really?

Not convinced that, knowing nothing else, someone driving 100 mph on an empty interstate deserves to be punished.

Trump says that COVID-19 can’t catch up to you if you are going over 100 MPH

They didn't, unfortunately.  He pleaded ignorance and they decided not to waste time watching the dashcam.  Just made him hand over his insurance info and sent him off.

Now playing

Mine came in handy a little more than two years ago. The video is below in 3 parts. I was driving behind my girlfriend (the Saab wagon in the video). We were at a light when a motorcycle tried to lane-split to the front of the cats waiting at the light. As he did so, he ended up clipping the Saab and then took off. I

At least the screen has been moved from sitting on top of the dash to in the dash. ..thanks to HUD and including the necessary functions into the instrument panel.

I have an Audi A3 8P wagon, and I love the clean, smooth design. No extra fuckery in the body, not too many fake vents, no weird creases or lines. Everything is low key and understated, but still elegant.

How many screens does it have as that is the only thing I care about in vehicles anymore - America.

Not every car needs to be over-styled to death. Sometimes plain and clean design is good.

“If literally one thing goes wrong—if the team needs to call for help or a tow truck, if they get stopped, if they crash—literally anything goes wrong here and these guys would be pulling resources from an otherwise already overloaded system, not to mention potentially increasing the risk of contracting coronavirus by

“Renault, of course, is in the middle of trying to merge with Peugeot, which they insist is still on despite the pandemic. I wish them both luck.”

Counter-point: You are an absolute idiot to turn down a 0% interest loan, regardless of the term.

I am SO SICK of hearing people whine about Cash for Clunkers! NOBODY in the market for a new car today is going to want a rusted-out 1994 Astro van that was one major repair from the junkyard anyway 11 years ago.

Aren’t VW e-Golf sales down because the e-Golf is dead? I don’t think VW currently offers a BEV in the U.S. market.

I’m sorry but you get a brand new vehicle with an all new layout and you just add nitrous?? That’s just foolish. I get that you want to test out the platform but ffs that’s just a recipe for disaster.

Looks like a real shit show.
