I understand the point you are making, but I don’t entirely agree with it. If the primary issue is lack of women involved in engineering and motorsport, grid girls aren’t really a part of the issue. These days women are ENCOURAGED to join STEM fields when they go to college, as evidenced by every University’s pitch to

Holy crap, Jeremy looks like a white (orange) version of Steve Harvey

A while ago I looked into buying a 540i and it seemed widely accepted that the timing chain guides were pretty much a scheduled maintenance item and not an extremely daunting task to replace unlike the guides in B6/7 Audi S4. There are enough BMWs running around with 200-300k miles to disprove the idea that all of

Have we forgotten about the MKII Audi TT?

If you want luxury that competes with the Germans, but don’t want a German car, one can’t ignore the gorgeous new Volvo S90. Get the T6 model and you’re golden, or wait a few months for the V90 to hit dealerships to enjoy it in wagon form.

Ohh okay, guess plug and play was too good to be true haha. Did you just figure it all out yourself or is there a thread on this floating around on the forums? (Link please if you have one)

My dad’s powder blue 1984 Volkswagen Rabbit. He sold the car in 2000 (I was three at the time lol) and I wasn’t very happy about it. I convinced my dad to try and buy it back a little while later as a project for us, but it was gutted and the guy wanted more than we sold it for (it was complete & running when sold).

This makes me want to find some MKV/MKVI GTI plaid seats to swap into my Golf IV. Had no idea the rear seats fit, did these jetta wagon rear seats just bolt straight up?

Someone needs to make one for Audi as well; If I hear another person say “Odd-eee” I’ll go mad lol. “Oww-Deee”, it really isn’t that hard, folks.

My top pick would be the already mentioned MK7 GTI, you can get one new for $25k or a CPO model with more options for a little less. Alternatively, you could look towards a BMW 328i, the pre-LCI F30s are in the price range and come with a manual gearbox; the only issue is some of the interior materials leave a little

0-60 times aren’t the only relevant aspect of a car. Most Macan buyers are likely people who just want a refined, well put together small SUV with somewhat dynamic handling, and a 4-cylinder Macan offers just that without the extra performance that likely isn’t needed by the majority of buyers (and it’s not like 6secs

I agree, but don’t forget the GLI though! The Jetta GLI was also given the red stripe back in the day and deserves to wear it too imo. The Passat hasn’t quite earned that honor, however.

Agreed, I think a manual gearbox option is essential in making the car feel enthusiast focused. With an available 6MT and either a 2.0T or the VR6 it has, I think the Passat GT could be a sweet option for those who need the room of a bigger sedan but still want something fun all for a reasonable price.

They actually sold (not sure if they still do) a CC 3.6 with the DSG gearbox for quite some time. It was available in the 3.6 Lux trim and the 3.6 4motion Executive trim. There aren’t many of them on the road though, and they were asking a pretty penny for them, so I don’t think they ever really caught on.

If this had a 6-speed manual paired with that VR6 then this thing would be properly cool. But regardless of the gearbox, those red accents look kinda cheap

iirc it C&D tested the A4 with the same engine at 5.1secs to 60, A5 is probably in that ballpark as well (with S-Tronic)

The tyre failure was no fault of the car itself, so you really can’t count that against it, and a leaky seal doesn’t sound like that big of a deal either. Neither of those sound like reasons to sell the car. That said it will certainly be expensive to maintain if after warranty if you take it to the dealer or a shop

The front end is 2nd gen Escalade while the rear end is from the last generation of STS. Looks like something a generic game developer would design because they couldn’t get the licensing to use an actual Cadillac
