I expect it to be a real blow to the cottage industry of YouTube Souls scholars.

I’d have been happier with Cyberpunk if we had seen actual gameplay and not what seemed to be entirely pre-rendered footage.

Is it impossible for hosts to reproduce? We don’t know much at all about their biology, but presumably they could be built with functioning reproductive organs. Remember, they’re organic, not mechanical.

One of the problems with Westworld is that they’ve established that Ford can do pretty much anything, so we can’t trust anything short of seeing that there’s no data port in his arm. Hell, I’m even assuming that’s a necessary element for a host to have; for all we know, the only must-have host trait is a digital

I don’t think it would. If Ford had created him in secret to test Arnold’s ideas of host free-will, then the whole point of the character would have been that he had been sent out into the world to be a better man than he had been designed to be...and failed.

As Emily rather off-handedly said, it would’ve been easy to replicate the biological components of a human.

Would it? It seems to me that the point of the show is that the hosts are as capable of independence as humans.

*Is* William a host? The pieces are all there.

The second episode is already out.

Also, isn’t the prestige raid at max light level (or thereabouts) regardless?

Ugh, maybe. I want to get rid of that quest, but on the other hand I’m pretty confident that I’ll find it more frustrating than fun.

I think the clan is finally reaching the point where we can try the new raid lair. My raid gear is at 270, and Bob is at 272 after raiding last night. I need to do more Escalation Protocol, though.

Oh, I’m also playing The Council, which is on sale on PSN and is janky, badly written, but also ambitious and charming in spite of—because of?—its failures. I’d describe it as a LucasArts adventure game with RPG elements. You have a wide range of skills, and where your skill points are allotted determines what actions

This weekend I will be playing Jurassic World: Evolution (JWE) and Hollow Knight.

The AV Club’s continued insistence that Unfriended was “surprisingly great” baffles me. Yeah, the use of social media and email in the film was done well, but it was in service of a pretty terrible story.

Yeah, some big reveal at this point will be inevitably disappointing. You know what wouldn’t have been disappointing? Maybe Archer can’t let go of it, and Lana tells him that now he’s a father and it’s infinitely more important that he let that go and focus on his daughter than continue to chase answers that may not

I was really hoping to read that Renner was rocking Stretch Armstrong arms.

Except for the fact that the Annabelle movie wasn’t smart at all, leaning extremely heavily into a Christianity-infused Magical Negro trope.

“hopefully this is yet another extension of the Conjuring franchise that, much like Annabelle: Creation, actually keeps both the smarts and scares alive”

I’d be happier with the “dream” seasons if the show had been that way all along, or if the real world of the show started to creep back in and Archer eventually woke up (even if just for the finale). I can get invested to a certain extent in these alt-universe stories, but at the end of the day the versions of the
