Well, I'm really only interested in Deep Strange Journey and Radiant Historia (which I'd never heard of but seems to have a good reputation that will likely only be improved by Atlus' usual approach to re-releases).

"Good job blowing up that blaze stockpile so your allies can run in to help. Now fight all the enemies you snuck by to do that while your allies flail about ineffectually!"
Yeah, that kind of stuff is shitty. But I think we're seeing "timed exclusivity" increasingly backfire on people. If it's not the most popular platform it just ends up throttling the developers' profits while the majority of the customer base waits for their turn.
I don't think most people understand why exclusives exist. A lot of people think that exclusivity is just something executives cooked up specifically to be anti-consumer, but the alternative is a platform you have to build yourself (the PC ecosystem, in other words) and we've seen how popular that is with the general…
Yeah, I think the Wii really hurt Nintendo in the long-run. The WiiU was actually much more of a traditional console, with lots of meaty, traditional, and challenging games. It was no more or less "family friendly" than the SNES library, but it dialed way back on the the kind of catering-to-casuals stuff of the Wii.…
Same here. I have a PS4 Pro, PC, 3DS, and Switch. I can play pretty much whatever I want because I'm an adult and I can budget for those things. I think the people who are clamoring for Nintendo to go third-party aren't actually all that invested in the company's games and just want the option to play them on the rare…
My boyfriend recently made a Greyjoy deck that is just obscene. My Wildling-focused Night's Watch deck can't do shit about it. What do you usually run?
I've been thinking about E3 a lot this week, and it's really interesting how Microsoft showed tons of third-party games and Nintendo showed almost none and most people seem to be rather underwhelmed by Microsoft's showing because they are pretty much all games that can be played on other platforms. More evidence for…
I'm not sure I have any obscure titles to recommend. If you like fighting games, Mortal Kombat XL, Guilty Gear Whatever-the-current-one-is, and Injustice 2 are all good options. I'm not a huge shooter fan, but DOOM and Wolfenstein are pretty good. For open world games, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Arkham Knight, Farcry:…
I have some issues with the ending of the Sexy Brutale, but overall it's a really clever, charming game that doesn't overstay its welcome. Plus it has an awesome soundtrack.
The Sexy Brutale was a fun little game (with a fantastic soundtrack to boot) but I was not fond of the big reveal. Someone needs to sit down with game developers and explain to them that not every game story has to be revealed to be something other than what it appears to be.
Are we not going to talk about how the Widow Goldfarb seems to be part of the scheme? She has no reason whatsoever to provide Emmit with an alibi; indeed, if she wants to scoop up the company on the cheap it's probably best to stick to the story. Is she the mastermind behind all of this? Or just one more red herring…
Yeah, I thought it was fine.
Did you see the Monster Hunter World trailer?
It's weird how the abridged series starts off basically mocking the series but evolves, very quietly, into what is effectively an alternate edit and dub (and a pretty good one at that!). It's to the point that I think that they are being kind of disingenuous when they call it a parody.
I like the art style a lot, but it's hurt by how it recycles the same faces and elements over and over again until it all kind of blurs together.
Alright, so after asking around apparently he has done this before. When he needs a break from commenting he apparently just nukes his account. So he may or may not be back, but nobody knows for certain.
Woah, really? I'm going to have to look and see what I can find out.
I think the trading mini-game is really only in the Game Boy/Game Boy Color games and Ocarina. There are similar elements in other games in the series, but I don't think they ever reach that level.
Do you know if they plan on doing any DLC? There are a few characters missing—especially Roger, Jr.—and I'm wondering if they'll be returning eventually.
