People complained that the koroks are an unreasonable inclusion that is punishment for completionists, but it's so obvious that Nintendo's thought process was, "Everyone needs to be able to find a lot of Koroks no matter where they go or what they do in the game, so they need to be densely packed so everyone has a

It's so weird. KO's in general aren't nearly as common as in something like Final Fantasy (at least for me), so it's strange to make one particular KO so troublesome for the player.

Speaking of Persona 5, here's a really interesting article on the political undertones of the game that might be somewhat lost on Western players:

Mostly gonna be Persona 5 again. The boss of the sixth palace is giving me some problems. No resistances but no weaknesses either and a gimmick built around pure chance, she's mostly just a big wall of health. I'd have had her last night, but the main character got KO'd, which remains a deeply stupid design decision.

I did!

I mean, you have to do the same things in Lucasarts adventure games…

I think that's a part of it, but I also think that people see all the various upgrades in the series and think that's the core of an RPG. They don't consider the "role" aspect at all.

I see Zelda referred to as an RPG occasionally, and it completely baffles me.

The multiplayer is probably the most approachable multiplayer around. Play through the Grand Prix selections and, when you're ready, give it a go. I think you'll be surprised.

Yeah, the most disappointing Wii U games tended to be the ones that you couldn't play off-screen, like Tokyo Mirage Sessions, a great game that still monopolized the TV to an irritating degree given its repetitive and grindy gameplay.

Wouldn't it be better to go up the down escalator?

This DLC is the shitty kind I never buy; I don't play those optional challenge modes when they're in the game from the start, Nintendo.

You said, "Plus Joker was able to use some decent ice personas so I never felt like I was missing out on that." Your argument is that the main character filled the ice role and so made Yusuke rather unimportant on that front, but that's the most unique thing about Yusuke.

Yeah, but I can see high-level personas in the Special Fusion section of the Velvet Room.

I mean, if your criteria for usefulness is "protagonist can't fill their role," then I don't think any of the characters could be considered useful.

I dunno, I've found Yusuke to be stronger overall. He gets better abilities earlier, like the one where he dishes out a small amount of damage 5-7 times; on a single enemy it's way stronger than what Ryuji has right now.

Exploiting ice weaknesses and dishing out tons of physical damage.

It's part of Sojiro's confidante story. You might be able to do it before the beach, but it requires a 5 in kindness to unlock.

I wanted to romance Mishima, but that's because he is desperately in need of some affection and that's a role I'm totally happy to play. It's exceedingly rare where I think a romance with a player character actually adds anything to an RPG.

Ryuji straddles a fine line between "asshole" and "charming." He gets a little pervy, but I think he has genuine chemistry with Ann, and I wish the game would let me play matchmaker with them. Having party members romance each other could be a great addition to the series, honestly.
