Just to clarify though, while the wear rate is always small, the difference between 2.03 and 2.58 is more than 20%. If an engine is limited by wear, and dies with a 2.58 wear rate at 200,000 miles, using the other oil could have gotten you to 240,000 miles. That doesn’t seem insignificant, unless I’m misunderstanding…

Is essentially the only difference between these two some of the internals? With as high dollar as the 2JZ-GTE is, couldn’t someone essentially mimic this by getting the “missing” pieces and assembling their own out of a 2JZ-GE?
