That’s a very cool story. Goodluck on all your plans, my friend.

Cool, did you have a chance to drive around Izu? As for Haruna, that was the first place I went filming at which you can see in the video linked in the article:0

shes a beauty!

Yep, the Initial D wikia. I will say that whats most amazing about it is that those roads are the exact same ones used as the basis for the tracks in the arcade games AND, they are actually driven on by enthusiasts and drifters alike.

Thanks man for the kind words man, I will certainly do my best.

Haha yep, its all relative. Most cars on the road these days are econobox “kei-cars” putting out around 100hp. Or they are some variant of Prius. In Japan, 300hp from a turbo 4cylinder is still big power, especially when you’re not going in a straight line.

Do it! I’ve loved every moment of my 5 year tenure on The JET Programme. Check out my site, which should give you a look at what its like: www.thejetcoaster.com

Have you had a chance to drive around in Japan? There are some truly incredible driving roads here. Izu Skyline immediately comes to mind.

So much feels:) Kat and I are hoping to making this a regular look into the scene. Subscribe to my channel if you are interested in seeing more!

This is actually something I’m pursuing, and is turning out to be quite difficult. The man is a legend after all.

I will neither confirm nor deny:)

We made sure that the shenanigans were kept to a minimum:)

Awesome video man:)

Never drink and drive in Japan. Just dont.

Great point. What I find fascinating to is how real life influenced art, which is now re-influencing real life. In many ways, Initial D is creating itself in real life.

Haha yep, Im still at it! It’s been a long road, but things are finally coming together. Now if I could just find time to sit down and edit the whole damn thing...

Thank you so much for this comment. It really makes it feel worth it to go out to document the scene when I read comments like yours. Ofcourse, Kat has a really engaging writing style so I have her to thank for that as well:) Cheers and if you enjoyed this article and want to follow the scene more directly from my

Congrats on the R32:)

Yep, and I think thats a huge reason for the existence of the Miata. On those roads, you dont need big power and speed to have a blast.

Thanks for reading! I was thrilled to finally be able to get Kat to come out on the mountain with me. It was pure random luck (or serendipity) that she actually just happens to live close to me, and that we had a mutual friend etc etc. I knew as soon as I read her Myogi article that I had to get her to come out with
