But your analogy doesn’t make sense because the game already isn’t a fair playing field for everyone. If you don’t live literally in the middle of a big city you will never be able to catch up with those who do. I don’t even live in a rural area but the pokemon density still isn’t enough for me to come even close to

I will stop playing if they shut down Pokevision. The design decision of having the game masking crucial pokemon location information is beyond me.

Oh wow. Count me as someone who wouldn’t play this game at all if not for pokevision. I already walk around my immediate area without pokemon for fun so catching pokemon around my usual part of town is boring to me. What’s fun is pulling up pokevision and seeing a pokemon I want all the way across town and then

I have been playing as a way to motivate myself to get out in 95+ degree heat and start kicking the shit out of my diabetes with exercise, and goddamn has it been amazing (down 11lbs since release!)

But I’ll admit that living in a somewhat rural area really kills it for me, so I’ve taken to using pokebliss/vision to up

You already know where all your Pokemons are, you eliminate surprises and working throught the process of exploration. You also have an unfair advantage over other players who are not using those apps/cheats.

Oh, so we’re focusing on the community tools that a lot of folks are using to get around crippling bugs that have inexplicably surfaced after not being an issue upon release (3 step) while ignoring the fact that there are thousands of people out there ruining the game by botting to reach level 30+ and putting their

I’m glad I waited until now to check out this story. It made me load up pokevision... which told me there was a pinser in the park near my house... which led to me staying in the park for 2 hours catching an unnatural amount of pinsers that just kept spawning all over the park. For every one on pokevision there were 2

The difference is that he lives in a major city that is packed solid with pokestops and gyms. Imagine if your home and work each had a half dozen pokestops clustered around them. Yeah.

No, I say we fly him out to fucking Montana, and see how he likes playing.

Sometimes I go for a walk and hope for the best but I found out about pokévision the other day, checked it out, saw a jigglypuff nearby, and went for a walk. Racked up 2 more miles on the day and flew past the 10k steps/day my Fitbit wants me to get. I’m all for going down to one of the parks or the zoo with friends

So Pokéradar is considered unacceptable - despite features being present in the mainline games that tell you **EXACTLY** where to find each kind of Pokémon. With more recent games even telling you which are directly around you.

I’d let the spawn-locating services run free. It still gets players out and about. It still gets them engaging in core game mechanics. Hell, it might even encourage them to play more, and that means more microtransactions.

But exploits and cheats that allow for multiple accounts, circumvent exploration, or boost stats

Heh, pretty lousy for a developer to complain that we’re cheating when they can’t even outline how the various systems in their own fucking game work to the player.

Egg hatching, distance traveled, the damn three footprints glitch effectively making finding any creatures a guessing game...

Yeah, think I’ll keep
