I don’s share links (and I only read my own comments).

The RI governor refused to sign the bill, but it became law despite him. And do you seriously think that the trans community has enough money to offer anyone a bribe? Even the RI legislature can sometimes do the right thing. And besides, RI still beat MA by FIFTEEN YEARS.

Actually, Rhode Island already did this FIFTEEN YEARS AGO! This goes along with the new state slogan: “Massachusetts - slower than Rhode freaking Island.” Sad, but true.

To me as a trans woman, this just seems like a crass way to cash in on the the notoriety of trans folks right now. I’m still waiting for Whoopi’s apology for her role in the transphobic film “Soapdish.” (and yes, I’m looking at you, too, Sally Fields. That film was part of the climate of THAT time that “liberals”

And here we have a heterosexual, cisgender, rich, white guy telling everyone that they should “learn to deal with difficult situations - and not run away from them...” I am so proud of him being able to overcome all the day-to-day issues he surely must face and then still having the energy left to tell everyone else

Good grief. For a white guy (in this case, a VERY white guy) to have the paternalistic nerve to police the language of a black man speaking of another black man is... well, it’s a special moment of stupid.

Ooops. I misread the headline and I thought the article was about Tom Baker or Matt Smith doing something bad

That’s the way I see it.

“A group is not truly accepted in society until society is comfortable joking (not maliciously) about it.”
