Small affordable cars.
Was looking for this comment. Touch screens are the goddamn worst and everyone who defends them doesn’t know what they’re talking about.
Corinthian leather? No... velour.
They are doing it because today screens cost less than buttons, and also add “wow” factor to the screen-loving generations. Of which I am emphatically not a member. Fancy-looking and lower cost makes the MBAs cream in their pants.
Not seriously: ’70s style opera windows.
It’s nearly impossible to hang off the edge of new cars with your tommygun blazing away.
Any love for hand cranks? Both windows & starters...
All us boomers miss pivoting vent windows. For those of you who never had them; if you had, you’d miss them, too.
and with the worst tire/wheel combination available. One thing Tesla was doing is reporting the range with the best tire/wheel as the range for all the models. So when the Model 3 came out, the range was 310mi but that only applied for the 18" wheels, the 19" & 20" should have shown lower ranges.

Vent windows and floor mounted vents.
Cars with standard single and double Din radios. I miss the days of upgrading the stock radio to a new Alpine unit with a detachable faceplate so it doesnt get stolen while i’m in Block Buster picking out a VHS to watch.
Simple cars: Simple instruments, controls and gauges that don’t distract the driver, simple engines without computer management that increasingly cis the cause of failures the average mech can’t fix.

Running boards on cars!
Manual switches, knobs, controls, and real gauges.
Small rims + big tires. I’m tired of cracking wheels on potholes.
Cars without infotainment screens.
Nearly dead trend: 8ft pick up truck boxes.
