I disagree with this a little bit. They can make mistakes. They can accidently pull someone over. They can type a license plate in wrong. They can make a mistake that inconveniences you.

I think Body cameras are a great thing. Because they are showing the stupidity of arrogance of some cops.

Get all the way fucked, short stack.

Lol, so now cops aren’t even human!

I ran your tag, it came back, associated essentially with no vehicle.

you didn’t read the article properly, they ran the plate and got no hit because it does not exist.

They could sue for racial profiling, unnecessary arrest and all that kind of stuff.

Also traumatizing their children.

100% correct. As I commented elsewhere, at 19 I was pulled over in a E36 M3 I had purchased that day from a private party. No plates but had all the paperwork. I wasn’t even asked to exit the vehicle.

If anything, they should force him out of Tesla. Whatever he wants to do to burn his now private company to the ground is his problem as far as the government is concerned. But investing in a public company who’s fate is in the hands of a childish idiot that doesn’t know when to shut up is other matter. And that’s

A typo on the state is a mistake. Seeing “no information” and jumping directly to “it must be stolen” is a choice to escalate the situation to a level that isn’t appropriate.

The exchange when the female cop is explaining her mistake is why people think some cops are fucking idiots:

the lady had a gun to boot.

But WHY did they conclude it was stolen if when running the plate it comes back with “no information?”

From what I recall in another article, he ran the plate and it didn’t even come up as stolen, it came up as invalid, likely because the states use a different numbering format.  So it comes up as invalid and he jumps to the “it must be stolen” mode.

Sure, as long as they mandate that Elon sells Twitter as a precondition in ahead of the first payment.

Why do you need to do that if you thought you put in the right info?”

Even if we ignore the profiling (allegedly of the car), how does “that license plate doesn’t come up” immediately jump to “it must be stolen, hold this family at gunpoint” and not “huh, I wonder if I typed something in wrong” or “I should follow this car to a safe location that isn’t the side of a freeway to pull them

You bootlicking gutter scum. If it were a white family, there would have been no guns drawn, nor handcuffing.

End this corporate welfare now, particularly for Tesla.

The same company that’s worth billions wants government money so they can prop up a new product line? After they’ve already gotten government bailouts?

The incident is still under review, according to a statement released by Frisco Police Department’s public information officer, adding that “any discipline related to it has yet to be determined.”
