The ones I have rented just charge a flat fee for bringing it back less than full. I think it was $25 or so. Far easier than me going to a supercharger, waiting, and paying for the electricity there.
Having not rented an electric car, how do the rental outfits hit you with an equivalent to the old gas engine $8/gallon fill up charge when it’s not brought back full?
I’m split on this. Perhaps partly because dealers probably aren’t quite as bad where I am. Still pushy and skeezy, but not as outright criminal as in the states.
Seriously though, I’ve never understood the hate either. Is it “good” in any practical sense? Probably not. But like the Prowler, it’s just a lot of fun. A roadster pickup can’t be all bad.
Unfortunately, dealers have really powerful and effective support from state level legislators. They write big campaign checks, they wave the numbers of people they employ in front of said legislators, and they sponsor local little leagues and what not. in return, they get unwavering support for the existing franchise…
I’ve always thought that they were cool! I so need to review one. :)
You’re still crazy, just that one opinion is cool now.
A great Pizza place had to close half their stores. Domino’s expanded. I don’t mind Domino’s, but it’s not great Pizza. And the great Pizza place raised their prices so much that now it’s hard to justify over Domino’s.
Let me just say, if you don’t have them on your car, it’s a ticking time bomb. They’re usually around $15,000, but we only charge $799.
Joking aside, what really sucks is that it seems like this stuff will screw the small businesses that make eating out interesting.

Technically, gas prices aren’t safe from being blamed for anything. Insulin goes up 500%? Gasoline prices. Medical insurance goes up 300%? Gasoline prices.
But on the other hand, we have oil company profit margins to consider.
Ill be honest as an owner of both.......get the series X. PS5 has become my glorified machine for pulling out my old PSVR.
The funny thing for me is I’m definitely considering getting a Series X but at this point there’s nothing on it that I want to play that I can’t play on Xbox One or via Cloud Streaming.

I'd like to clarify that the most egregious part of the '97 Malibu wasn't the "97." It was the "2004" because that's how long it ran in that form. In '97, it was almost passable. In 2004, it was inexcusable.
