Good take. Rivian in getting better at production, has a large cash buffer, several stable investors and name recognition now. It just needs that one hit vehicle in the semi affordable range to really take off. Lucid though? Not convinced yet they'll be one to survive.

Full disclosure: I did watch the episode before it got taken down. And I didn't notice the tattoos. But on the other hand, I'm not the guy filming the show, editing it or Mike Finnegan with my head 6 inches away from freaking Nazi tattoos! What the hell guys?!

You want the detective cars, not the local PD cars. Trust me on that one.

Id argue against that for a few reasons. 1) compilations usually run an emulator designed for a newer system or a PC. 2) games that aren't re released on future systems and are stuck on hardware that is no longer supported or has stopped working. 3) disc rot. First generation CD consoles are starting to have disc

Short answer: yes. Long answer: it plays to the base. Especially those who use people like Jones as their primary source for news/opinions.

Oh I've already heard the excuses on this one. "she clearly wanted it" "she's lying or she would have gone to the police" "it was so long ago, it doesn't matter now" and of course "fake news!"

I literally didn't know there was working Switch emulators before this started becoming a news story.

Very much so. There was a lawsuit in the late 80s/early 90s about Nintendos monopolistic practices. They used to tie companies to full exclusive with Nintendo, limit the number of releases, and would hold back cartridges from developers on a whim.

Was at an auto parts store today and the credit reader suggested a %15 tip. At a parts store. Asked the guy behind the counter who got the tip and he said "No idea, the suggestion just showed up on Monday."

There was an attempt by the trump administration to change the tipping rule to allow restaurant owners to keep tips for "business improvements". https://www.washingtonpost.com/food/2021/01/08/new-tipping-rules/

In honor of DT, have to throw the XJ into the mix. You could spec it down to a basic 4X4, carry kids, strap things to the roof, tow a trailer, or option it up. All while being able to run trails if you wanted too. There's a reason they were called Cheap Jeeps.

Came here to post this. The Model T was cheap, easy to repair, and built well enough to be durable.

“Mr. Musk responded on Twitter: “Thanks, but I already have one,” he said in a nod to Tesla’s Cybertruck." Yeah sure you do Elmo. Sure you do. I mean, clearly it's been on sale since it's originally announced release back in 2021 right?

Viper racing. Now there's a flashback. That game had a few non viper cars hidden in a secret menu. Also there was a modding community for a few years after the games release. Eventually there were enough modded cars the one of the devs had to make software to switch selectable cars.

“this is still the only legal way to enjoy some of their content in the comfort of your own home." Legal. Ha haha hahahahahahaha!

Seems a bit pricey. How much do the tires cost?

This. Sound deadening in modern cars is much better than it was even 10 years ago. Even the Dodge Charger is hard to hear what's going on outside, and it's debatable if that's modern.

So here's an idea. Know how VW is reviving Scout? Would any of the tech from Lordstown be useful for Scout? And if not, well, Lordstown missed it's window of opportunity about a Rivian and F150 lighting ago.

Still there. Damnit.

I may have taken a bit longer to leave the lot than I should have. But she's worth keeping, even over a really nice Eagle wagon. Now a Kammback manual with the I6? I'd be single right now.
