It’s only offensive if you believe that mentally ill people belong in jail instead of somewhere where they can get the mental help they need. That medieval thinking worked out so well treating gay and trans people, didn’t it?

Sadly I don’t have kids. But as bad as things can be sometimes, watching my niece and nephew grow up is do wonderful. Last Sunday I was visiting them and my nephew half asleep reached up and hugged me. All the troubles I had just faded away.

If the kid in question is of legal age, it’s not legally abusive.
