I have no doubt they’d exploit it (hello, digital re-release!), but I just think that would be one step too far, even for them.

Personally, it takes some of the fun and mystery out of it. If this was Star Trek, explaining away what seems like magic with a ‘scientific’ explanation is entirely in character. But Star Wars is the fantasy sci-fi franchise. Having the Force be a mysterious, magical, unquantifiable.... thing... was part of the charm…
As much as we might like that, really, that would be a bit much for Disney to do. They may own the rights now, but that would be wildly unprofessional and, frankly, disrespectful to Lucas, and everyone involved with the production.
It’s absolutely hysterical (and completely understandable) that 95% of the dialogue in the video is from the Original Trilogy. ;D
I regularly revisit Eccleston's episodes. As much as I love the rest of the series (perhaps less so the last couple years), his are the ones I'll happily rewatch and wrench much joy from again and again. Christopher just resonates with me.
Getting hard for me to NOT play the Black Mesa fan update when it comes to playing HL1. :P
Question is, if you find nude body parts ripped to shreds in a war zone, what's the protocol? Do you get outraged by the nudity, or excitedly pump your fist over the carnage?
For some folks, any kind of sexual content whatsoever is "evil".
I don't even see it's flaws, really. So many great moments.
Aye. Maybe that was worded wrong. Guessing maybe he meant that they implemented the Narbacular concept using HL assets before going forward. Or...something.
That absolutely made the entire ad worth it. :)
It's fine to speculate. Given the info you had, you did the best you could at the time. You could have just as easily been right. It's a relief to be wrong in those situations though (and oh, have I ever been, myself :D).
Would have thought you'd just treat him like a Ken doll, and let the Rule 43 black market take care of the rest after the movie debuts.
Who would trust them? The Vita was a terrific piece of hardware. It still is. If they couldn't turn THAT into a success, why would anyone seriously invest in an an unnecessary successor?
But those are the best parts! Just like the parts of his wife we keep finding in the woods near his house...
I switched over to uBlock a couple weeks ago. Never looked back.
Hey, if it works. :)
They're doing something new with the Ghostbusters concept, instead of simply recycling the original story and recasting the characters. I'm fine with that. It means they might actually have a chance of doing something interesting.
You wound up giving all these sites the clicks they desire. In this instance, you probably should have just shown screencaps of example articles and let people fend for themselves if they're curious.
WebCrawler or go the fuck home!
