so just keep your EV between 30% and 80% ok. I do not want to sound like an range anxiety person but that leaves only 50% of the advertised range to play with.

A thousand times yes to not using the diesel pump if you don’t have a diesel car, and other gas pumps are wide open.

Generally I’ve found that the diesel pumps on the same island as gas pumps will have the passenger nozzles. If there’s a separate diesel island and diesel pumps mixed in with the gas, the separate island will have the high flow nozzles.

Exception is diesel, though. The outside diesel nozzles are often for the big cargo trucks and stuff. The nozzle doesn’t fit a standard diesel car. So you do have to wait for the inside spots to open up. At ‘new’ gas stations (that i’ve not visited before) i often hop in and ask the attendant which of the diesel pumps

If the Lions make it to the Super Bowl (and god forbid win), the worker production in the entire state of Michigan will drop to near zero on Monday.  The city of Detroit will be absolute chaos.

Being a Lions fan and being let down by the team every year kind of explains a bit of what it’s like to live in Michigan. Everything is a little bit terrible all the time,

If the Lions win on Sunday, I’m telling my boss not to expect to see me on the Monday after the Super Bowl. Hell I might have to tell my family not to expect to see me.

CA passed a law that all new cars sold have to be EV only by 2035. Ironically that very same week the CA dept. of energy asked everyone not to charge their cars as the grid was overloaded and there would be blackouts if everyone charged their cars as normal.

The grid isn’t ready, that’s indisputable. We should improve the grid, and new nuclear plants have to be part of the plan. You can’t just build charging stations without the power to supply them.

This list made me feel embarrassed for Jalopnik and the readers who made submissions.

If you’re a regular person who landed here by googling “Cars that will last 250k miles” please know that THIS LIST IS A JOKE. Other than 2 or 3 of these cars, do NOT buy these thinking they’re actually reliable. It’s inside humor here.

Theoretically, the Tesla Semi would work if it can hit the 400-500 mile rated range with a full load, and if there’s enough of their megachargers capable of 750-1000 kw along the interstates...

You do realize that truckers make multiple trips a day right? If you’ve even bothered to read the article, they make 6-8 trips a day.

The point is recharging takes a long ass time and costs a shitload of money to install since it’s not readily available like truck gas stops/a lot cheaper to install.

Yeah everybody knows it’s Justin Trudeau

I’m so sick of dipshits acting like Biden personally dictates the price of groceries.  That’s not how any of this works.

The thing is 110 years old. Things were different back then.

It may be that the lake is freshwater and uphill from the ocean and gravity was cheaper than pumping salt water uphill and then the salt messing with the ecosystem. that is just a guess.

go North and West, Lake Michigan

Chicago does not have Brutal Winter. For that you need to go North and West Lake Michigan tempers a lot of the cold temperature.
