I don’t have much experience with turbo gas engines, but I’ve got a lot of experience with various turbo sizes on diesels. VGT turbos perform well(though they lack on peak performance) with altitude. Non VGT turbos, even twin scroll, are pretty lame, unless if the turbo is very small.
