I used to do storm spotting, the ditch is likely the safer spot if it isn’t flooding. Personally, in a panic, I’m not going to do that because it feels like you’re putting yourself in harm’s way. Your instincts usually overtake your logical side in a hurry.

OP: plagued with rev hangs for emissions

I think the Bronco would also be a lot easier to service and perform repairs on. That IFS design and electronic steering will make it easy to service. The axles look very easy to remove, I would likely pull them for ease of access for repairs.

Remember, sun screen expires. Speaking from experience, I wouldn’t trust 1-2 year old spray on sun screen.

Truth. If the vehicle is there, and it has the capacity, why wait for something bigger? A 2020 F-150 can take 6,100 to 7,050 lbs in the bed, depending on how it’s specced. That’s a lot. I’m sure the capacity of the new one won’t be less than that.

The whole 6B series is legendary. It's an engine that's used in large cranes where it'll camp at full throttle all day long and get 10,000-15,000 hours of hard use with nothing more than basic maintenance.

Hydrogen peroxide should be everyone’s go to. It leaves little to no residue, little to no odor, and it works. Put it in a spray bottle(not transparent, UV will deactivate peroxide after a while) and use it on almost any surface. Let it sit for at least a minute(10 would be better) before wiping it off.

There’s your problem, don’t buy a sunroof if you’re worried about headroom. I’m 6'8" and have more headroom in my VW without a sunroof than my sunroof equipped Ram Heavy Duty.

As someone who's 6'8" and has owned multiple VWs, I respectfully disagree.

Fortunately, NOx emission is heavily regulated. The selective catalyst reduction system with urea injection is proving to be extremely effective.

A shop cannot do that to a car they are selling. Shops are also not allowed to remove cats on gas vehicles, even for track use. If caught, that is a federal offense.

I’d be curious to know if they have anything in their paperwork to truck buyers about the rig only for special use.

Good! And I’m saying this as a diesel enthusiast who used to modify diesel.

And they’re very easy and cheap to replace. 15 dollar Amazon prime and 5 minutes of your time. Though, I’d rather have the hood prop that’s on my father’s Datsun Roadster. The same one used in this article.

One of my buddies has that Winnebago you referred to. That little diesel was great, it got a consistent 20 mpg in that little motorhome.

Of all the places to get creamed by a semi, I can imagine few worse ones than inside a tunnel underneath a city.

The buyer walked into the dealership underwater, what are they expecting? Cars are not investments

True, but Jeff Gordon, Jordan Taylor, and Rodney Sandstorm made a pretty damn good Rolex team.

I completely agree. Fortunately, there’s a lot of tuners now making full EPA compliant tunes. It’s too bad VW called it quits stateside and got caught right when manufactures were figuring out how to make the emission tech work. A PHEV TDI would be perfect to have.

Plus, there will always be the “for off-road use only” loopholes...
