Welp, looks like my work here is done.

If driving unloaded in the city, stick with the gas engine. You’ll have so many emission related issues if you drive an ecodiesel in that light duty application.

Deactivate via tune. Physically deleting will likely have implications down the road, even if you're in a non-CARB state.

This failure mode listed is no longer an issue, biggest failure mode has been emission related. Low pressure EGR usage will result in filtered and cooler exhaust being used to prevent dirty egr valves and intakes, but may result in condensation in the intercooler. Heavy EGR usage will still create dirty exhaust

Someone else might have to post it for me, not sure if I’ll be accepted into the Facebook group with my name matching these comments.

I’m working on it. I wonder which would stick out more to him, the shields, non number matching engine, disk brakes, transmission from a 2009 Silverado or the EFI.

Let’s see if I get kinja’d.

I’ll do it tomorrow if I have some spare time and report back.

My father just restored a gorgeous ‘68 Charger. I kinda want to photoshop those guards on it and post it to that group.

AOA disagree.

On top of that, there’s more aspects than just acceleration from a stand still. Plenty of modded brodozer Cummins trucks will smoke the 911 in a drag race, but nothing more.

Gotta also find some sort of mod to fill in for the aftermarket exhaust and 400 dollar intake filters.

Heh, your version of a DD is bit different from others. Not that it's a bad thing.

Perhaps at the locations you listed. But the days of state highway patrol checking are gone in my neck of the woods.

Remember, the Ecodiesel needs to be beaten into submission of you want the emission system to last.

A modern diesel with a properly designed SCR with urea injection system (a lot of engine manufacturers haven’t figured it out yet) will get just as good of fuel economy as a emission deleted diesel. The DPF on the Cummins, for example, can flow enough for over 700 hp.

But they also don't test it any more.

As someone who has been struck, I don't like those odds. But then again, I am an idiot.

The preferred video format for short social media clips is vertical and square aspect ratios.

Not a single person would be surprised if that came out in the report.
