Literally everyone does that. There is absolutely nothing inventive or unique about this temporary solution (which only works for personal phones anyway). But there’s always that one guy in every thread on this topic who thinks that not answering the phone due to the relentless spam is somehow a clever idea.

You know, if you don’t think those things are stupid, then you’re the one who doesn’t understand them; Iran, the UK, or common cars.

It’s usually extremely difficult to escape a police car from the inside.

It’s way too easy to break your brain.

The purpose of copaganda is to make people think that police serve functions they do not serve

No, because this is America, and you’re a freedom-hating communist traitor if you suggest we do anything other than increase the police’s weapons budget every year.

Yes, I’ve heard about the Cahoots program, but it’s a very small number of jurisdictions that have anything like that. People desperate for help turn to the only resource available, the police, who are going to treat the matter as criminal activity.

A few states out west have pilot programs for just these situations. They would send and EMT with a counselor/psychiatrist and to no one’s surprise, except maybe to police and politicians, it’s having results.

Another fine example of law enforcement

My problem is I run a business as a subcontractor, so I often get calls from the clients of my clients. 2/3rds of those are scams, the rest are half my income

Will we ever provide people with an alternative to calling the police for help in cases like this? Because it’s NEVER a good idea to ask police to deal with mental illness. It’s not what they’re trained for (if they’re trained at all).

Because a lot of places rather spend money on military grade weapons, armored vehicles, than putting mental health professional on these type of calls.

She probably landed on a pile of fists, boots and nightsticks too

This works great until you want to solicit bids for work around your house. You can wind up in a merry-go-round of phone tag trying to connect with someone that isn’t in your contact list.

I’m guessing she did this right after walking into the door then falling down the stairs?

Here’s an idea: don’t allow anyone to purchase hundreds of thousands of phone numbers. A little regulation by the FCC wouldn’t hurt the telecom companies. It might put a dent in the billions of dollars leaking out of the economy due to fraud.

I found an easy answer this problem a few years ago. I now never answer my phone unless their name pops up from my contacts. If it just shows a number, it goes to voicemail

Also made by Zimmer, not that much difference in performance:

I wouldn’t even feel too guilty about doing an EV conversion on this...

A budget collector car that will stand out from the sea of Mustangs, Chevelles and GTOs at your average show or C&C. But not so special that it would be sacrilege to put your personal stamp on it–and you’d be starting with a pretty solid base. NP.
