Perhaps your sovereign nation of one will grant you an exception allowing you to drive without a plate.

Yes - they can try to recognize someone and that someone might be you who also might or might not be the same one as before.

I think it’s less about completely preserving the look of the front end, and more about mostly preserving the look while also not having to drill holes in the bumper. 

Because you are walking around with an unique face. So if you commit a crime they can recognize you by your mug. Which is actually even worse than license plates based on how many people are wrongly arrested or convicted based on other people “recognizing” them or picking them from lineups or even automatic face…

The only advantage I see is that it eliminates the drill holes through the composite bumper.

Well, now that I see an example from a different angle, it definitely looks cleaner. I’ll give them that.

I mean I hate license plates and love the fourth amendment as much as anyone but I’m not sure your car has a right to privacy on public roads...I guess you’re saying that you have the right to not be identified as the owner of the car via the license plate but that’s not any more of a privacy violation than being…

Depends on your political persuasion. Seems like the ultimate clothes on fantasy for a lot of folks is stopping a bad guy with their gun.
