She’s playing Reva like a “bratty child” because that’s what Reva is. She was a Jedi Padawan who survived the purges, was traumatised, and ended up having to join a cult that worships rage, aggression, and brutal domination order to survive. The character is clearly supposed to be emotionally stunted. May as well

Have you ever met someone with power? Like 9 times out of 10 they’re just a bratty child. That’s also a running theme with the bad guys in Star Wars.

I actually think the character is intentionally supposed to be kind of bratty and immature. That’s the kind of dark side user she is. It is said repeatedly that she’s impulsive. She acts without thinking. She’s kind of similar to a young Anakin in that way, actually.

Maybe I’m being overly generous, but to me Obi-Wan’s incompetence read pretty realistically. He’s spent ten years in a combination of severe depression, PTSD, and actively trying to suppress everything that makes him noticeable. There’s probably a disconnection from the Force to stay under the radar that’s putting him

If there’s any inconsistency with Obi-Wan’s appearance, it’s just that people born in 1914 aged a lot worse than people born in 1971. Macgregor is 17 years older in Kenobi than he is in Revenge of the Sith. Strictly going by the canon timeline he’s already old enough to play Kenobi in the New Hope era, much less 9

The joy of being a stalking victim is that you get to be paranoid for the rest of your life, yayyyyyy.

“I have no choice...”  Fuck off.  You are literally on a “gaming reviews, news and tips” website which is an option to get an idea of a game before you buy it.

I suddenly have a mighty need for Amano art of Batman suplexing a train.

It’s also tricky when things mean different things in different parts of the world. My wife is Pakistani American and refers to herself as both a Paki and a Desi. Both terms I have learned from her and used without question because in the US neither is considered derogatory as far as I was aware. But in the UK Paki is

I think my favorite throwaway joke was Peter Pan saying he was going to get away with using the Men’s Warehouse slogan. Almost like the writers winking that the mouse lawyers will get them whatever reference they need lol.

The movie isn’t nearly as good as a movie as Roger Rabbit, which is a legit great gumshoe noir

So this person is:

This movie ended up being a lot. Kind of a mess, kind of meandering, kind of confused, and there are periods where it’s nothing but smile-inducing Easter Eggs with no story progression. But it’s got a good heart and it’s solid overall. Also, the best Easter Eggs aren’t in the trailer even though one of the best Easter

He used to be all about fighting against oppressive authoritarian regimes. Now he fights for them.

I legit ‘fuck yeah’ed when Kai’s gauntlet grabbed the ledge after the crash. Kai is awesome. Don’t much care for the other two, but if anything happens to Kai in the future I’ll be mad.

One saving grace of Halo TV is that, no matter how weird it gets, I’m now on-board with the characters and invested in whatever goes down with them. For the first time in my exposure to this universe I actually cared that a Spartan was in danger. And then I felt it about 12 times in the same episode.

The Halo show is a real diamond in the rough. You can see so much promise in some of these ideas and scenes but they’re often executed so poorly, or intercut with other terrible concepts, that it falls short on that promise.

Yeah, how pathetic of them, getting frustrated because the months or years of hard work got spoiled because merchandising execs shoehorning in a cash grab that you’re barely aware of either didn’t realize or didn’t care that the utterly useless and unnecessary toy contained info that you’ve been trying hard to keep

What happened to the good old days, when some guys with a video camera would try to get some clandestine Terminator 2 footage and end up taping the LAPD beating a guy?

As someone who consumed all of the games AND the books and the few attempts to give us a “live” series or story (and like most of it for what it was) I can say I was at first disappointed that the series decided to ignore most of that and go their own way.
