I'm liking Loudness' "Samsara Flight", which is re-recordings of material from their first few records. It's shockingly good for something I was pretty dubious about. I'm planning on diving into the new Whigs next, maybe try the Elf Power. I still have most of April to catch up on as well.

I's rather have two 6 episode seasons than one 12 episode season all day every day. Something light like iZombie I can handle 13, but 22 is out of the question, even for 18 minute sitcoms.

Well, you could make the point that anybody that can really afford nuclear weapons already has them. Personally, who care if some old white guys buy a cannon or whatever? Owning cost is far different from operating cost, 155 mm howitzer rounds are a couple grand each, not like any individual is going to stockpile

I've become very dubious about Gaiman for this very reason.

It's surprisingly not as bad as you'd expect on draft. Nothing memorable, but not skunky at all.

I'm planning on listening to the Alice today myself.

Yeah, BOC IS fantastic. Secret Treaties is as good a hard rock record as anyone has ever made.

They had a little festival with Morrissey,Descendants and AFI and were charging $35 (for parking)! They are in a little industrial park and just use their neighbor's spaces and patrol that shit like the DMZ. Plus, they have 2 rooms that are adjacent and open off the same hall and they will book both rooms every

God damn I miss real cocaine. I should move to Colombia. Never mind, carry on.

The Observatory is a terrible, terrible venue. Uber there and back for sure, parking is a joke. There is a whole bunch of good food within a few miles radius though.

Damn, that's some poor procedure right there. Anywhere I'm in charge we either use the machine (if they can afford it) or I assign at least 2 guys to do it after closing so it can cool and no one is allowed to walk hot oil anywhere. Ever tried cleaning up 35 lbs of lard off a scullery floor? It's not pretty.

We have a few 10x12 Tuff Sheds with the loft at work, and you could easily live in one with no mods here in SoCal. At most, some insulation and drywall, maybe some carpet scraps if you're fancy. They sit on a slab, but are on an 8" galvanized frame so you could even plumb a toilet with very little work. Just cook

I admit, my primary decision on a house is "Is there a 2 car garage I can monopolize by filling it with man stuff and then retreating there never to be seen except if you need to use the laundry?"

I still haven't fully crossed the digital divide when it comes to music, but I couldn't dump 90% of my books for epubs fast enough. Hell, most of the stuff I read came from the library anyway, and most of the rest of it I was never going to reread anyway. Now I have a Calibre library several orders of magnitude larger

I've only heard Izzy speak a couple times (on UK tv) and her speaking voice was a regular non bogan Aussie accent. She was actually kind of charming in that situation.

Blue Eyed soul isn't gender specific, but it IS period specific, i.e. white soul influenced singers from the mid 60's. Like The Righteous Brothers and Dusty Springfield who are as far from "really bad" as it's possible to be.

To be fair, we make fun of male celebrities looks as well. And frankly Schumer brings it on herself by never shutting the fuck up about it.

So, she goes forward in time and makes her cuckolded husband unknowingly rear a bastard ginger child?

She absolutely ruined Ideal though. Still haven't forgiven her for that.

They mean toys like yachts not Toys-R-Us surely. But I'm not sure how Home Depot/Lowes shares a demo with the local cobbler or the guys shopping luxury goods.
