I’m not sure I agree. I think “most” art is political. There are some very edge cases where I am not sure the case can be made because the viewer is the only one that can really bring any politics to the interpretation. How would the work of Piet Mondrian or Jackson Pollock be political by themselves?

I completely disagree that the take on abortion is dated. I think it’s realistic and still pretty relevant. It happens to show one of the many possible outcomes that can occur when a very vulnerable, impressionable, and scared teenager is trying to make an extremely difficult decision and is then confronted by a

Honestly... I read it as pro-choice... she had the “choice” to have or not have the baby.

Was she influenced by someone spouting pro-life propaganda? Yeah... she was... and that happens in real life too.

I think this is honestly just a slightly defensible position that Apple can take which will likely lead to customers having to look for (and potentially purchase) alternatives to some games/apps. It also allows Apple to more aggressively move the platform forward without worrying about legacy dependencies from more

I just came to say that I truly loved this movie. It was hilarious, insane, fun, and moving. I can’t imagine the talent that could put this on paper and then somehow convince people it is going to work. These guys are truly amazing and Michelle Yeoh (who has been one of my faves for quite a while) took it to a new

I want to know how they got to a tax bill of 120k. That is REALLY high. Miami-Dade property taxes are typically between 1%-2.17% of the value of the home. Taking the high end approach... if the bill is 120k for the year then they are valuing this at something like 5.5m.

Considering that it is a “floating structure”

I thought he did a decent job in “the theory of everything”. Other than that... I’ve never been much of a fan.

2 humans that thought that they found a partner that they would love forever and grow old with realizing that they are not, in fact, meant for that is tragic. The tragedy is in the pain they feel and the loss of that hope that they began the relationship with. Just because it is a common, everyday thing doesn’t make

Yeah... I made he mistake of doing that. I still don’t understand why she hasn’t replied to this or said anything publicly. I feel bad for her because I highly doubt she knew or had anything to do with this organizations past. If it turns out I am wrong,  however, and she knew about it and supported it... well... I

Umm... no... the headline should probably read “white girl went to a debutante ball when she was a teenager and was crowned princess by the organization that sponsored it which was linked to racism that the white girl likely knew nothing about”. I really hope she doesn’t get dragged through the mud for this shit.

Even if he was worth 6.6 billion... isn’t Robert Smith worth over 7?

Well said...

I met her years ago on a beach in LA when she was dating that kid from T2 (the same summer that T2 came out). She was actually really nice and seemed pretty grounded... he, on the other hand, was not.

Check this out, an NPR interview that includes the proud boys founder

Don’t worry... people still won’t watch it on a 7-day trial subscription

Seconded!

I agree with you on many of them with the exceptions:

I think there are plenty of brutal things police can do without drawing their gun. See George Floyd.

Excellent question. Is it an issue of cost or something? I feel like it should be a DVR of everything that took place on a shift. It can be stored for 7-30 days and, if nothing is reported of issue, it is deleted. The cost cannot be that much and it is certainly warranted.

I think it is entirely possible that he missed or forgot that EVH had recently passed. If he thought the man was still alive then the response (while totally ridiculous and unnecessary) wasn’t nearly as callous. He was just stating that he never cared for EVH’s style...
