Although this book is not my dream solution to notes, it’s much closer than Boogie Board. I do a lot of math, deriving theorems and tracking big equations, so I need continuity from page to page and the size and color of text is really important. I actually credit my best result of my thesis to a pack of multi-color…

Regular college-ruled spiral notebooks are 19 cents at many stores’ back-to-school sales. Each year I make a quick circuit of the four or five stores in my neighborhood and buy a dozen (the limit) at each. So that’s a year’s worth of notebooks for $11.40.

Cross out the horseshoe and scan the page with the app, and it’ll automatically upload to, say, Evernote. Draw an X through the Apple, and it’ll go to Google Drive.

Yeah the Lego engines were cool but my curiosity really piqued when I caught a glimpse of that. why not wire in a pot or something?
I need to know more about that “home made speed controller.” Looks like a bath of water and filings?
I just bought one for my wife to use as an electronic whiteboard. She loves whiteboards, and this way I can stop funding the Sharpie corporation’s owner’s Cadillac fund.

The boogie board is great, I have one, but it’s kind of “low res” and you can’t shade things or darken them or anything like that, which you can do with a pen and paper. I’ve taken a picture of it with evernote and it worked just great. Evernote even normalized the color to make it more readable as an image.

I use the Sync. It’s so much more amazing. Saves and erases go into storage on the device as straight PDF files in their own folders. And I can use it as a super poor-man’s Wacom tablet if I need to do inking on my laptop over USB or Bluetooth.

The Boogie Board is great too! But some people like writing with a regular pen on a regular notebook with multiple pages. Nothing wrong with that.

Cooking the books is now an app. Actually, I’d rather just get the app that can do this and then print out my own sheets.

If you thought you knew everything there was to know about paper notebooks, you haven’t seen the Rocketbook Wave.

This thing has been $150 for so long and so often it’s far from a ‘deal’ anymore

Two days ago I managed to grab a 480 gig Silicon Power Sata III SSD for $108,which in the given market is actually a really good deal. (They sold out within a couple of hours I believe. I kind of wish I had boughten a second one so I could turn it into an external drive.)

SSD prices have gotten so out of hand lately. I remember a few years ago when I could buy a 500GB 850 for $110.

I thought $150 was MSRP. I have three at that price.
