Myself, when I’m negotiating the purchase, I always leave it in “out-the-door” price, that way they have a harder time ‘hiding’ costs, fees etc. That said, the last vehicle I bought, two or three times, I had to get the salesman to switch from per-month to out-the-door pricing. I think it’s a bit automatic for them...?

My Fiancee went to trade in her clunker and lease a Dodge. She test drove a very well equipped, upper trim model Dart. She said she liked it, wanted that car, and asked what the monthly payments would be. “For this car, $170/month.”

I was ripped off by Keyes Toyota in Van Nuys last month. I bought a 2014 Highlander with a sticker of $26,900. They asked for $3k down. I assumed the $3k was going towards the sales tax and other fees. It didnt. The financing was for $29,999 which meant the $3k was additional markup/profit. They were really slick

You’re gonna want that TruCoat.

The problem that will always persist is that you negotiate a car deal only every once in a while, and the guy across the table does it every single day. You’re probably doomed from the second you step in the door.

Did the pilot suggest which god they pray to? I wonder if the Pilot suggested the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Disappointed the solution doesn’t involve releasing thousands of crickets in the showroom.

But we are all about satisfaction... a bad review, a bad yelp or dealerrater review is our biggest nightmare. We don’t change prices like the instance mentioned in the article, but if you are unhappy about

A big reason for this is not just the truck damage but also the tendency of these collisions to compromise the structural integrity of whatever was hit. Nothing like someone’s craving for nuggets instantly turning into 6-7 figures liability.

And this is why ordinary drivers who are more used to their SUVs shouldn’t be allowed to rent box trucks like these.

11'8" ? Pshhhhh...

I caught a much-less dramatic version of this a few week ago on my dashcam, lol.

“We’re on our way!”

Why not add one of these ahead of the bridge? If you hit it, you know you can’t clear the bridge. It’ll save the bridge and most of the damage to the trucks.

Can someone send this to the civil engineering department in Durham, NC?

Need to rename that bridge to the Durham Peeler.

Here’s a photo from 1956. 61 years ago. Ain’t shit changing.

I foreshadow two things eventually happening to this. 1. The bridge gets torn down and a higher placed new one is built, or 2. The roadway underneath the bridge is graded out to run under it with more overhead. Either way, this whole bridge issue is fucking stupid. Oh, and I hope the asshole with the Ryder truck spent
