God damn straight. We have a 2017 F-150 XLT 4x4 which we LOVE...save for the auto-start stop system, which 99% of the time is annoying as fuck. Being forced to override it every damn time you start the truck is ridiculous.

Why must we have auto-start stop as standard?! I had a 2017 Fusion SE prior to my mustang that was just dreadful. Not because it was intrusive, but because you had to turn it off every time you started the car. Even in the settings, there was no permanent “off”.

The big issue with modern cars is they almost always run on a CAN bus system. The horn button isn’t a momentary contact switch. It’s a computer. A computer that is polled every 500ms or so. Are you on, are you off. You press it, it sends out a “I am on” message and the horn is activated by the body module of your car.…

Only because the person/people behind the first car are also texting. But then there’s me--I have a horn, and know how to use it!
