Working in dealerships for over 20 years, he may not have been told to move it. I’ve seen many young employee jump in a vehicle and try all on their own accord. Whether that be a manual customer vehicle or something like a forklift... it happens.

Other then the shape and possibly the weight it just reminds me of a mercedes key.
I don’t see the officer confused. He knew who to call. What else would you do in this situation. They did their job, stop a vehicle at night with no lights on. The whole things seems pretty uneventful. Even the car moving to a better place to stop looks like a confused on what to do like a human.
Looks more like he was totally in tune with the times and knew to call cruise to figure how how to rectify the situation. What would you have done differently? Slim Jim the door?
I don't much about the Journey. But I assume they are no more weird then all the others buying Soccer mUm Vehicles.
You might be surprised that a lot of rich people with many cars are more lenient with their cars then the rest of us. Not 100% true with everybody but especially if they are not car people but have many cars because of money. But yeah I agree I would go elsewhere. It's also probably that not too many problems on the…
From my experience this was a thing in the US as well. But the riding test is set up in a way to prove you can maneuver a bike slowly without needing the leg. It's weird for sure
There are no american rules like this. I believe this guy wants you to do it his way. Or he is giving you pointers to get in and out of tight spots in the city. It would actually be dangerous to dry turn your tires are a stop light turning left, if you were to get rear ended with your tires turned before it’s clear to…
I believe you speak of myths. Even at 10 and 2 an air bag will push your arms out and away from your head not inward. It’s with arm across the wheel that would be dangerous. Which could happen in a turn at any straight ahead hand position I guess. But you’re right on the 9 and 3 gives more rotation. I believe the old…
They removed the mask mandate last summer. Where did that get us?
Not nearly as annoying as every post being mad at incorrect information. Or worse your lame attempt at name calling. Take your own advice.
That very may well exist. The seat move back is not for this purpose. It's just there for people who sit really close already.
Nothing new. Cars have been doing this for decades. Just the warning message is new.
Pretty sure it's been done in software before too. Would even set temporary trouble codes. I think the message is the only new thing.
Mercedes has been using this since at least the 90's. Your 1980's central door lock pump probably did have this.
Thats what this is really. It’s been a thing in cars for decades. Just the warning message is new. Lets be real no one has noticed this before. No normal user will notice it now.
In modern cars the airbag control unit sends a digital signal and will just move the seat back a set amount. This motor lock out for overheat protection has been a thing for decades actually. Not just seats, windows, door locks, etc etc. Nothing new here
Good point. The truth though is that this has been a thing in cars for decades. Overheat protection. Windows, door locks... but who runs them that much to even notice? Yeah, no one
It has been a thing in many cars for decades. Seats, windows, door locks. It's just overheat protection. It's just no one ever actually runs these motors that much to trigger it. I've been a mercedes tech for over 25 years. This is nothing new except the warning message. No one ever complains about it because who runs…
Yep. It's just overheat protection. It's been a thing in cars for decades. You can include door locks, windows, closing assist motors etc etc. Nothing new here
