Not that this doesn’t sound like a good topic to write a book about because this excerpt is fine, but I have several questions:
I’m sure if you asked Suns fans three years ago what they expected out of Devin Booker, their first answer would’ve been “clowning Enes Kanter and beating a horrible Knicks team”.
Nothing more enjoyable and not-at-all terrifying than an arrogant white boy.
The main irony here is that if TGI had just joined the right cult, he could have multiple wives and his problems would be solved!
Weird flex, but ok.
We really need to start giving the NBA more shit for giving superstars more calls. I know it’s a thing in every sport but it’s the most noticeable in basketball, as much as I wanna hate James Harden I can’t fault him for doing something that they are letting him get away with.
This would eliminate all fat guy touchdowns, therefore fuck that.
Oh sure, maybe you would need to shelve some plays you were normally running and dust others off, but the key part is they should have them available and able to be implemented. Again, not saying that football isn’t complex, but it’s not like they are inventing new routes for the wide receivers to run or different…
I don’t know if it’s truly as hard as we assume it is, running an NFL offense is complex as hell but most of this is just playcalling. It’s not like they had to design new plays from scratch, every coach knows what a rollout, read option or designed QB run looks like, with Jackson you just have to call more of them…
I think it’s definitely a toss up, but I think the Thunder are more complete in the sense that they don’t really have a glaring weakness. Denver is deep but has players like Jokic and IT that are defensive liabilities that can be exploited in the playoffs, and while Shroeder is small, I don’t see a guy on the Thunder…
Shroeder and Russ being able to flourish together has been one of the more surprising items in the early season so far for me, Noel has contributed more than I expected and Diallo was a solid addition. I realize the Warriors are the golden standard until they finally lose, but if Roberson comes back healthy and plays…
If you read this article and your first instinct is to blame someone for not being able to accept blatant racism and not the racism itself, you have a problem.
I just came here to say that it’s gotta be absolutely terrifying to be a black athlete playing in front of crowds of racists for a league that clearly doesn’t give a damn about you. Fuck our country.
Day has never been a head coach at the collegiate level, I can understand why people who thought they’d be coached by Meyer would be reconsidering their options. The feeling around the program is that Day will be able to recruit just as well long-term, but it’s understandable to lose some people short term.
Edit: missed the pun
List of teams with realistic playoff chances who refused to sign Kaepernick and ruined their seasons:
Give me Shammgods all day long, I can’t get enough. They need to add it to the Skills Challenge in All-Star weekend, I need at least two Shammgods each pass through the cones.
Yes, that’s why I said the kick was half-hearted and not the shove? He shoves a guy over which causes her to fall down, and when she starts to get up he doesn’t wind up and try to punt her to Mars, he basically pushes her back down to the ground with his foot. He’s clearly in the wrong and doesn’t control himself but…
