They actually had his table ready, the staff were just in the back arguing over who had to announce his name over the intercom.
That’s understandable, and I would sympathize with that. However, when he calls himself one of the best centers in the NBA, goes out and puts up 5 and 2 against another true center and then blames other people afterwards, my sympathy goes away.
Whiteside used to be such a feel good story in the NBA, it’s a shame he became such an insufferable prick about everything.
GM Doc Rivers just saw this comment and orgasmed
Leave it to Thibs to spend a quarter of a crucial playoff game trotting out a lineup with a net rating of -1.8 in 46 games this season, followed by another lineup that’s played a total of three minutes together.
I think the real question here is why Thibodeau thinks it’s acceptable to roll out Rose and Crawford together at the 2 and 3 for eight minutes at a time against the fucking Rockets.
I think he will want to go out on his own terms, so my bet would be no. Or at least, if he does decide to go out, I hope it’s because of good reasons and not just out of grief.
As someone who can’t handle the fact that I can’t get everything I want all of the time, HOW DARE YOU.
His contract was signed in 2014 which was when he was still a borderline star, which is why it looks bad right now. It’s fair to criticize it now, but Melo has been the only guy I’ve ever known that’s been shit on his entire career for making max money.
Alright, I know that the Simpsons has a picture for everything, but this is a Space Jam reach here.
This joke doesn’t stink, but it definitely has an Odor.
Nothing happened to Dame. Jrue Holiday happened to Dame, who has played lockdown defense and challenged Lillard to make the correct play every possession. And as much as I enjoy watching Lillard play, Holiday has exposed him as a guy who cannot do that, he is quick to take bad shots and tries to play hero ball.
Man, I really don’t wanna get my hopes up about this team knocking off Golden State, but they sure are giving me alot of reasons to be hopeful.
The Blazers are now officially the Western Raptors. Dame and CJ are great players, but once it hits playoff time they figure out that running straight iso for half of the game won’t cut it. Late in the fourth quarter where they were within 5, they had three straight possessions where Dame or CJ dribbled it up and shot…
The Pelicans are now my team to root for this postseason thanks to Jrue. It’s great to see a high character guy whose career was set back by injuries and family health issues finally put it all together and elevate his team in the playoffs, it’s been a damn joy to watch.
I don’t know, if we are assuming that Kawhi is healthy, I think it’s a good deal for LA, and pushing a salary dump along with acquiring a superstar might be too much to ask. If they really want a star they will have to let Randle walk anyways, so it’s essentially Ingram, Hart and a first-rounder for Kawhi. I know that…
Randle is hitting restricted free agency this summer and Ingram the year afterwards, if they keep those guys now they cannot sign another max contract player in the next few years.
Well, their reported plan for this offseason is to get two stars, and if they want that to happen they’ll have to let Randle sign somewhere else, so basically it becomes Ingram, Hart and a first rounder. So yes, I think they’ll be just fine with that trade.
