I’m not exactly sure why the media/internet hive mind has decided to focus on nepotism but huge numbers of people follow in the same field as their parents. The number of plumbers, electricians, home/septic inspectors, shop owners, attorneys, etc. that I know who got their start in the family business is huge.

At the end of the day regardless of who your parent were it might get your foot in the door, and I am 100% sure it does. But if your terrible at the job, in this case acting, your not going to have much of a career. Colin has done pretty well in the acting game, meanwhile Chet has at BEST some minor forgetable role.

I think it’s more statements that they’re at least capable of not getting picked off, which is fair.

Yes that is leftovers, I did not think that far out I was thinking within that dinner time.

Nobody would know who Chet Hanks is if it wasn’t for sites like this telling us.

Except she’s also obviously the Cashmiri princess that the old man in the inn had been sent to recover. I assume she’s already been through the same torture that Arik just went through and is currently an earthly vessel for the Crone.

One of the Batman's most inexplicable decision was hiring someone as distinctive as Farrell only to use a practical effects deepfake of De Niro's performance in the Untouchables onto him for the movie.

I’ve actually been really happy with how ST has handled Will’s sexuality

Alice in Borderlands is OK. Really don’t think it is in the same class as Squid Game (see the comparison a lot) but the first season was decently fun to watch. I do think the direction is really heavy-handed with a lot of games and scenes dragged out - it has the pacing of a bad anime at times, with characters emoting

Bb.q Chicken (it’s not barbecue—the “Bb.q’” stands for “best of the best quality”)

I enjoyed this a fair bit. Squid Game never hooked me because it all felt very impersonal, which I understand is part of the point of it. This show made me care about the characters though, even the ones that were super hateable (except Niragi, fuck that guy). The finale was way more drawn out than it needed to be,

*rocks back and forth in a corner* This isn’t happening... this isn’t happening...

Especially Five Guys, it all turns to greasy mush in like 5 minutes.

Count me in the group that doesn’t “get” why everyone is crazy for Chik Fil A. It’s an OK chicken sandwich. Nothing world shaking. But the one near me is a 30 minute drive through wait from open to close. Cars wrapped around it, out into the street. Madness...

I disagree about burgers. I’ll order takeout, but I’d rather have it right out of the kitchen. I’ll get takeout fries too; they’re easy to reheat in an air fryer.

I’d argue that most non-fried Asian foods are very takeout worthy. There just aren’t as many big national chains besides Panda Express right now.

Chinese does well too, since it has density it can retain the heat well.

I will never do Fish and Chips for take out. Anything deep fried needs to be eaten right away.

How is such witchcraft achieved? Nachos are usual D.O.A. whenever I have ordered them...they are even worse than fries usually.
